In two days time it will be the anniversary of the Israeli massacre where around 1200 people were murdered and around 300 people were taken hostage.
Today there is a big pro Palestine march him London. Would it have been more respectful and appropriate to have waited till next week or later in the month for this march to take place, especially since the first bombing of Gaza started on 13/10/23 and Israeli troops first entered Gaza on 27/10/23.

There is no problem finding money to rebuild, far more has been spent destroying Gaza. first we need peace.

Above all Iran has to stop interfering in other countries.

"Before elections security has got to be established to do that Palestinians have to accept defeat in the same way Germany did in 1945."
The "Palestinians" are not at war with Israel, there is no Palestinian army or Palestinian government. The IDF is fighting Hamas, The Palestinians who live in Gaza, many of whom do not support Hamas and have never voted for Hamas are unfortunately in the way.

I agree with you David.
Thank you for speaking plain common sense.

Anniebach Tue 22-Oct-24 09:52:03

I to agree

Currently Hamas is Palestine it directs everything that happens, when that ends peace has some chance.

It would help if everyone denounced Hamas.

Exactly David49 Hamas is currently Palestine

Netanyahu has said he will not stop the conflict until Hamas is crushed. I can understand this but so many more lives will be lost. There are no easy answers to this awful situation.

I can understand his motivation after the heinous massacre last year.

I also fear that many more lives will be lost.

This is the reason I abhor all terrorists, the Muslim ones are only thinking of the virgins waiting for them when they die, they do not give a fig for those they inflict fear, death and mayhem on!!!

Grany

Biblical scenes of exodus from Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza 🇵🇸

640 Palestinians murdered there in 17 days, and no food allowed in for 17 days

Israel 🇮🇱 has bombed & starved Palestinians into leaving

Ethnic cleansing

Netanyahu bombing Lebanon thousands killed he really wants to start a regional war.

What happened on October 7th Isreal killed hundreds of their own called the Hanibal Directive Isreal admitted. Also there were no beheaded babies or mass rapes.

Grany yet again you are in denial.

There were mass rapes, the footage is on the internet from Hamas operatives own body cams. Adult journalists from around the world came out of the viewings in tears, you are tantamount to calling them liars.

Whilst you continue to deny the events of 7/10/2023 I cannot take any of your posts seriously!

maddyfour Tue 22-Oct-24 10:38:14

I briefly thought of reporting your post Grany because it is peddling lies. The Israelis did not murder 1200 of their own people on 07/10/23. Everyone knows that, and you really shouldn’t write such blatant untruths.

GrannyGravy13 Tue 22-Oct-24 10:41:38

maddyfour I thought the same, but it’s best to leave it up for all to see.

I also cannot normally take Grany’s posts seriously, but to write that the Israelis murdered their own is just not acceptable. We’ve all heard of Holocaust deniers, we know people in the UK are October 7th deniers, but I can’t quite believe it’s written here on GN. I often don’t read Grany’s posts because I find them offensive, but I did read this one. I don’t want to have my finger on the report button all the time, I rarely report in fact, because we have free speech in this country, but to deny 7th October is beyond the pale for me. But I haven’t reported.

Anniebach Tue 22-Oct-24 10:44:01

I skip past those posts

FriedGreenTomatoes2 Tue 22-Oct-24 10:46:52

Grany if you can’t even spell Israel correctly I will take the rest of your post with a shovelful of salt.

AGAA4 Tue 22-Oct-24 10:56:39

I have great sympathy for all caught up in this conflict and so many Palestinians killed but what Grany has suggested about Israel has shocked me.

Carlota Tue 22-Oct-24 11:02:38

Khan is down to earth , not easily influenced I feel confident in his ability as Mayor of a multicultural London to make the right decisions. We are a democracy and as such everyone has a right to their views like it or not! Netanyahu has gone way past retaliation! In war no one wins hate breeds hate. If aliens invaded earth would the human race stand together ?

Wyllow3 Tue 22-Oct-24 11:04:16

I condemn Hamas's actions utterly, yes I denounce terrorism, but I don't feel it's helpful moving forward to say "Palestinians are Hamas" any more than "Israel is Netanyahu".

The only connection between Hamas and Netanyahu is that in the last election in each Country they were elected by the populace.

GrannyGravy13 Tue 22-Oct-24 11:10:48

Grany in your own words

there may have been some rapes carry on denying.

No one is denying loss of life on all sides or atrocities apart from you, your posts are becoming anti-Semitic and upsetting to those of us with Jewish friends and family, let alone who may be Jewish themselves.

How on earth do you sleep at night, utterly, utterly disgusting!

FriedGreenTomatoes2 Tue 22-Oct-24 11:12:49

Illustrates the mindset of many who March in London every weekend. I’ve had my eyes opened anyway.
