Still told to 'get over it, it's done.

And yet only 11 - yes, ELEVEN percent, believe it was a success. And only 24% of Reform. That is just staggering, but not surprising.

Why on earth should we 'get over it'?

Why do you always pick on me Claremont when I am not the only person who has suggested there is little to be gained by “going on and on” ?
Others disagree with you but you always home in on me.
I might even think there is something personal in all this.

Because you're the crème de la crème, RosieandherMaw

You're simply the best
Better than all the rest
Better than anyone
Anyone I've ever met

I hang on every word you say for some reason!

Just scroll by, no-one, but no-one is asking you to take part. Simple, very.

Just scroll on by anyone who thinks you are going on about it on GN to no evident purpose.

Oh that is funny RahM- as I was only replying to a post by YOU, 'picking on ME (as per usual). I abbreviated your name, and then noticed the result, and thought it was funny.

But honestly, if you bite, I will reply. Fair enough.

No-one forces anyone to reply to any posts mentionning the disastrous effects of this nonsensical Brexit. Ta.

Please explain the disastrous effects.

Sorry, but I don't get it?
What am I missing?

I just can't get over leaving EU
And so if I seem broken and blue
Scroll on by, scroll on by 🎵🎶🎵🎶

Lost some pride
Now that we have left
So let me hide
The tears and the sadness you gave me
When you said goodbye
Scroll on by 🎵🎶🎵🎶

Cream in German. Easy pease

I only went to German lessons for about six months.
I can tell you that the sun is hot and the wind is cold and ask for some meat in the butcher's and beer in the pub.
We didn't get as far as the dairy.

It's still not so funny - lost in translation?

GrannyGravy13 Fri 21-Mar-25 18:22:35

There are many words for cream in German.

Poking fun out of someone's username is not a bit funny.

It could be against guidelines.

There are many words for cream in German.

Sahne for example

GrannyGravy13 Fri 21-Mar-25 18:44:00

Schlagsahne means heavy (thick) cream

Norah Fri 21-Mar-25 18:46:37

Saure Sahne

Don’t tell her that Allira.
Claremont will probably decide it’s another effect of Brexit.

*God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,*
the courage to change the things I can,
*and the wisdom to know the difference.*

The Serenity Prayer gives us good guidance - whether or not we are religous.

I find myself getting more and more outraged by Donald Trump - yet I can't think of any way I could influence change.

However we can all hope to reverse the disaster of Brexit - by joining the Liberal Democrats, the only political party working towards a customs union and ultimately rejoining the EU.

Here in north Wales folks would have fun with your username ClaremONT…no doubt you’d blame that on Brexit!

Most people wouldn’t vote Lib Dem, therein lies the flaw.

I vote and belong to the Lib Dem Party.. They are rational, caring and inclusive in my experience.. I was so pleasantly surprised when I attended the conference in Brighton last year at how interesting their debates were.. having been a member of the Green Party prior to joining..

I think that very much depends on where you live in the UK. There are a lot of marginal constituencies, where one or other of the two major parties don’t have a chance. I live in a constituency like that, and we now have a Lib Dem MP. Very good he is too, they focus on their constituencies and work hard. Rural communities and market towns are their main stronghold, and I could see, for example, the whole of the south west going Lib Dem.
