“A Trump State Department official has, on a number of occasions, called for the sterilization of “low-IQ trash,” a new report has revealed.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio has appointed Darren Beattie to be the acting undersecretary for public diplomacy and public affairs, a senior role that represents American foreign policy to the world.

In May 2024, Beattie wrote on X: “Population control? If only!”
“Higher quality humans are subsidizing the fertility of lower quality humans,” he added, calling it the “Foundational reality of social and political life in the post-war West.”

““Pay smart people to have more kids, disincentivize stupid people from having kids. So simple but molds destiny on deep intergenerational level.”

He responded in September 2023 to news regarding African migrants rioting in Israel by saying that the Israeli government “could literally just round them up and drop them in the ocean. Let the ‘human rights groups’ whine... drop them in the ocean too!

Darren Beattie was a speech writer for Trump in his first administration

this all has a horrible ring to it from the 1930's.

I do agree that certain criminals should be sterilised.

Elon Musk, perhaps?

(though I wouldn't be surprised to find that there are gallons of his sperm tucked away in a sperm bank somewhere. After all, the world could do with more of his genius)

This all ties up with the belief in “pronatalsim”
When Musk brought his son to the meeting with Trump it wasn’t just “I’m a regular guy” but

“Musk, a father of 12, is an avowed pronatalist, or someone who believes declining population rates are a major concern and has committed to work to remedy this by having as many children as possible.

He sees part of his life’s work as repopulating the planet with as many children — and exceptional children at that — as possible.”

“Pronatalism requires that people who are able to carry pregnancies — mostly women — be pregnant for large periods of time. These pregnancies can have a major impact on women’s participation in the workforce and economic mobility.
“Part of the language around pronatalism is language about gender roles, and the expectations of pronatalism is very much a kind of kickback on educated women and their declining birth rates,” Lovett said. “It’s remaking the notion of women as mothers — in this case done with a kind of co-option of the caretaking role.

I think Musk may have some surprises ahead when his children grow up...

He already has. One of his sons is a now transwoman. He has disowned her and cut her out of his will.

That's one messed up human being...and I'm not talking about the son/daughter/ child person!

"The mission of women is to be beautiful and to bring children into the world." Goebbels.

For the German woman her "world is her husband, her family, her children, and her home". Hitler

The Nazi party also set up social and legal mechanisms to keep women away from employment and into domestic life. Women's educational and professional choices were restricted, with the entire areas of law, civil service, and the upper end of medicine becoming exclusively male domains.

We can see all this happening right in front of our eyes.

Goady and very unpleasant indeed.

I find the ethos of eugenics chilling. I thought it had finally been discredited as a science after WWII.

The idea that somehow supposedly 'superior' humans could decide that what they consider to be 'inferior' human beings belong to some sort of subspecies and therefore have no rights is deeply repulsive.

Sweden was practising eugenics until the 1970s.

Too many people forget what those nice Scandinavian countries get up to.

Yes, many people are unaware of their dark recent past petra.

One traveller's view:
Just a week in Sweden was enough time for us to see why this Nordic nation is one of the most highly regarded societies on the planet. Their collective focus on social equality, human rights, sustainability, and public services make the country one of the best places to start and raise a family. Not only do the Swedes boast some of the highest life expectancies in the developed world, but their citizens are some of the happiest and their children are of the most educated.
And everyone is just so nice

Trump against abortion? I don't know, but I wonder how many of his partners went on to have abortions? We will never know.

When it became possible to identify Down's babies in the womb my mother was very keen on the idea of terminating the pregnancies in the hope that the mutation could be bred out and Down's would disappear. I don't know how much further she would have taken it. What would she have thought if she had lived to see her two autistic grandchildren. Of course she grew up in the 30s, when Eugenics was seen as the way to improve society. She doesn't seem to have linked the eugenics she approved of with the actions of the Nazis.

I think Trump is streetsmart and quite intelligent. Which makes some of the things he does even more scary really. I would be interested to hear from some of his supporters but they would perhaps be too browbeaten by the comments to come on here. He could do so much good with all his vast network of supporters , it is a shame he seems to be locked into forcing disadvantaged people to become even more disadvantaged.

I cannot even begin to understand why you think Trump is street smart and quite intelligent?

I’d suggest he’s the least intelligent world leader n history and one of the most dangerous.

IMO he has no redeeming factors, not even one.

Dickens Fri 14-Feb-25 19:57:57

... but Trump loves the poorly-educated -he said so.

I saw an interview with a man who'd voted for Trump - clearly not well educated, but earnest and 'genuine' (by that I mean he wasn't a smart-a*se).

He voted for Trump because of tariffs, he believed this would bring back industry to the American workers. He didn't understand the mechanism of tariffs, and when it was pointed out to him by an import / export guy taking part in the interview, he was shocked and surprised... but gracious in the admittance of his lack of knowledge.

There must be many like him, who will live to rue the day they voted for Trump, and I genuinely feel sorry for him, and them. All they wanted was a better life than they have now, and got carried away by the hubris.

Trump doesn't love the poorly-educated - he likes "smart" people (and people who don't get captured - remember that?).

"He's a smart guy, I know him well / like him a lot" - these are phrases he's used about various leaders of repressive regimes. Including Putin.

Some very unpleasant individuals are crawling out of the woodwork aren't they.

I'm surprised that anyone would have the guts to actually say something like this. It's straight out of a Nazi handbook! The elimination of inferiors was a big part of their doctrine.

I do agree that certain criminals should be sterilised.

Which ones and why? The criminal will only contribute half the child's DNA and it is nurture and very rarely nature that produces, even deviant criminals.

There are already laws that can stop a parents seeing a child or being part of their upbringing.

Actually she spoke up for her father when the 'Nazi salute' went viral. So there maybe little love there at the moment she clearly wanted to put right a wrong

Churchview Sat 15-Feb-25 10:05:54

She didn't speak up for him, she wrote this -

"I'm just gonna say let's call a spade a f***ing spade. Especially if there were two spades done in succession based on the reaction of the first spade,"

Now Trump is cosying up to both Trump and Netunyatu the rest of the world should be very wary.

As I’ve stated before, be afraid, be very afraid!

I am worried about how AI will be used.. it could be such a powerful tool for evil

Babs03 Sat 15-Feb-25 10:32:59

@Rula
With regard to the Nazi salute. Based upon what I have learned about Musk and the increasingly fascist far right hirings in the administration, as well as States like Utah saying is lawful to display the Nazi and confederate flag in schools, I now have not a single solitary doubt that Musk was indeed giving a Nazi salute. A gold plated, officially stamped, Nazi salute. And he must have been laughing at all the people who tried to excuse this. More fool us. As the saying goes ‘if somebody shows themselves to you once, believe it’
I certainly believe it.

Babs03 Sat 15-Feb-25 10:34:45

That saying sounds a bit wrong, I think is ‘believe them’ not ‘believe it’.
Oh well you get my drift.

Trump is a dictator who prefers the company of those similarly inclined.
When I look at him, the way he walks, his gestures, his facial expressions, and of course his egotistical entitled and alt right attitudes, I see Mussolini.
If I believed in reincarnation I would swear that is proof positive.

Surely the practice of encouraging women to abort with Down's syndrome right up until 38 weeks is an example of eugenics in our own country? I am not anti-abortion in general, but this seems a very extreme way of using it against a particular kind of human who is viewed as being not good enough for our society.

I was interested to know how much pressure is put on women if they are found to be pregnant with a Down's child, and though these are random articles, and not very scientific check, I suspect that there is quite a lot of persuasion used, at the very least.
