Many of the “low-IQ trash,” were they not born into abject poverty (in the 'States), with little access to health facilties and poorly educated might well not be 'low IQ trash if they grew up in a less poverty stricken home with access to good food, good medecine and good education.

What is wanted is not eugenics in any form but a reduction in the level poverty, fewer obscenely ricch and fewer obscenely poor.

Perhaps the likes of Trump, Musk and Vance don't care about clean streets or menial jobs. Their electric gates and money will insulate them from any deterioration in the world us ordinary folk will be forced to live in.

They went after veterans health care, jobs and services yesterday. The mental health crisis hotline for veterans in crisis is being affected.

We're reading here (UK) about National Parks staff being laid off too.

Surely with this many people hitting the employment market at the same time jobs will be scarce and people will be struggling to meet their outgoings right across America.

Trump wants to sell off our public lands to the highest bidder to drill on. He doesn't need Park Rangers if there are no national parks.

Our national parks are so popular that they have resorted to metering entrance by forcing visitors to buy tickets for certain days. This will leave a big hole in my heart because I have spent most of my life camping and visiting National Parks.

Hundreds of thousands of people are being laid off, by the government and as a direct result of the government. A recession is looming

I think it is a mix of the two. Both have disowned the other.
