Would this be the same Keir Starmer (his deputy at the time) who claimed he only backed Jeremy Corbyn to become Prime Minister in the 2019 general election because he was certain that the left-wing Labour leader’s bid was doomed anyway. He was grilled by Beth Rigby who described his “catalogue of broken promises and changed positions”.

I can believe what he said about Corbyn. Given how many of us in the LP felt the same.

Show me any long term prominent political leader who hasn't changed positions! Its called politics.

I wasn’t enamoured of Corbyn but still felt he was a far more decent person than the ones in the opposition.

I truly hope that the always decent & honorable politician Mr Corbyn wouldn't have had anything do with the truly cringworthy Tulip. 😌

I stayed in the LP for a year after Corbyn won the leadership. I finally left because despite his supporters saying he had integrity, what I saw was a grumpy man who couldn’t tolerate being challenged. He’d stride off from journalists, giving the impression he saw himself as the onky good guy in the room.
Starmer did what is expected, he supported the leader despite knowing Corbyn was a disaster

appears arrogant.
I think that she presents as if she is God' gift to the universe.
She is so very cocky and full of herself, there is no humility!
As soon as any camera is in sight she zooms into it, delighting us mear mortals to her fake, awful saccharine rictus grin!

She has always come across as very pleased with herself and somewhat smug on the occasions I have seen her on TV bug thst was just my opinion. However, she is not my constituency MP so I've never met her and have no experience of how good she is so should not judge.

Perhaps it is just supreme self-confidence - is that a bad thing in a young woman?

Most of the very super self-confident women I have ever worked with have either been very annoying or worse still nasty bullies.
They certainly weren't members of the sisterhood. 😗

I wrote to her about something she was speaking about in parliament the other year; can’t remember what it was. But I’ve always been impressed by her when she spoke in parliament. Wasn’t it Patel that was accused of bullying?

I think part of her confidence is being born in a relatively privileged and "international" upbringing, although her mum was an asylum seeker. But this is true of many men and women in public life, although confidence can come from the struggles of being born with great disadvantages too.

Its always worth asking the question whether a man presenting as confident using the same words has been judged the same.

I think more so, especially if they were pupils at Eton!

It's more than self-confidence, there is nothing wrong with that at all imo. Confidence was something I had to work on, personally, therefore I encouraged my DD to be brave and confident.

It's rather different from being inordinately pleased with oneself, which is how Tulip comes across, and many men are criticised for that.

Let the law take its course.
