Can you clarify your post Luminance?

Lathyrus3 Wed 23-Apr-25 16:30:42

Cancel culture isn’t about nobody listening.

Being cancelled is when your venue says they can’t put on your show because trans activists have sad they will invade and destroy the place.

Or when the theatre that is putting on the show that you wrote says you can’t come and see it because trans activists have said they will wreck the place if you do.

Lathyrus3 Wed 23-Apr-25 16:32:35

Or when your wife leaves with the children because she is so anxious about the death threats that trans people have made, not just against you, but against your wife and children too.

Lathyrus3 Wed 23-Apr-25 16:33:09

That’s cancel culture trans style.

AGAA4 Wed 23-Apr-25 16:43:05

Cancel culture is the shunning and disapproval of someone's action or words.

Yes that is how I understand it. It's clear to me that no one must give air to any voice. In the same way, the courts did not air any trans voices correct?

Lathyrus3 Wed 23-Apr-25 17:15:56

They were invited to take art but no trans organisation or individual accepted,.

It was up to them.

Lathyrus3 Wed 23-Apr-25 17:16:42

part

Lathyrus3 Wed 23-Apr-25 17:19:44

Probably because they were told threats and abuse wouldn’t be accepted as evidence

Like the trans sports events set up that trans chose not to compete in.
You can’t make people take part in something.

Smileless2012 Wed 23-Apr-25 17:20:52

I wonder why they didn't Lathyrus.

Smileless2012 Wed 23-Apr-25 17:21:52

Just seen your subsequent post @ 17.19 Lathyrus which is probably why.

Luminance Wed 23-Apr-25 17:22:59

This was a case brought by Scottish women who do not believe trans women are women against the Scottish Government which is not trans. Trans organisations were advised by their legal teams that they were in danger of harassment and intimidation by news outlets and the public. As no case was brought directly against them, it would make no difference.

Smileless2012 Wed 23-Apr-25 17:26:20

This was a case brought by Scottish women who correctly stated that trans women are not women because it's a fact, not a belief.

Do you mean the Supreme Court? They didn't hear from any individuals. FWS is an organisation and a couple of other organisations intervened on their behalf. The Scottish government fought for the trans side (fully taxpayer funded) and had Amnesty International intervene on their behalf.

Lathyrus3 Wed 23-Apr-25 17:28:23

Oh right. So you actually knew the answer and didn’t need to ask the question.

It is a very sad day for democracy when all voices are not represented due to what amounts to a very public bullying and shaming campaign.

What a load of hogwash.! What do the trans organisations think those three Scottish women have suffered for the years they've been fighting for this clarification? The harassment, intimidation and foul abuse women have been subjected to apparently amounts to nothing. What a load of cowards.

Iam64 Wed 23-Apr-25 17:35:03

More hogwash

Luminance Wed 23-Apr-25 17:36:26

No, just a lot of people who already fear discrimination, being attacked or being targeted should their personal information become available. That is why I feel a lot of empathy as a woman. Knowing that activists do this type of thing and it actually does go both ways. We cannot act like biological women only have been targeted and declare ourselves living in reality.

Doodledog Wed 23-Apr-25 17:36:35

No-one must give air to any voice?

What is that in English, please?

Smileless2012 Wed 23-Apr-25 17:38:53

Are you referring to the very public bullying and shaming campaign that those who've been correctly saying that a trans woman is a man have been subjected too Luminance?

Like that very public and bullying campaign carried out towards women by TW, TRA and over the recent years, also by public bodies and governments. It has been absolutely dreadful.

For once I agree with your statement, Luminance though it did need the clarification that I added, since you had omitted it.

Absolutely. Couldn’t agree more.

You are talking about how the transmitter cement has treated women.

Right?
