The O/P read (in part)

"Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the population of Gaza will be displaced to the south after his security cabinet approved an expanded military operation in the enclave that a minister described as a plan to “conquer” the territory.

The vote on Sunday came hours after the military said it would mobilize tens of thousands of reservists, strengthening its capacity to operate in the besieged Palestinian territory.

“One thing will be clear: there will be no in-and-out,” Netanyahu said in a Monday video message posted on X. “We’ll call up reserves to come, hold territory — we’re not going to enter and then exit the area, only to carry out raids afterward. That’s not the plan. The intention is the opposite.”

We now have the aid crisis at the focus of world wide attention.

Have you watched the footage? What do you feel?

Yes it does matter who gives figures to news channels, I have said since October 2023 it’s been Hamas , there have been reports of people being shot by Hamas , recently the figures have from Health Ministry which is Hamas

How do you feel when you see the footage on the television?
Do you feel anything?

Footage from where/whom ? No journalists allowed in Gaza

'Your choice , I don’t trust as you trust . It was believed here by many that 14000 babies will die in next 24 hours from UN, it was an error . Journalists? the BBC with their apologies for lies ,
no'

but what do you trust the reports of atrocities perpetrated on Israelis, many turned out to be totally false?

At what point does denial of the terrible deaths and suffering one one group, and not aother, just become just plain one sided Islamophobia and plain racism?

Antisemtitism and holocaust denial are both abhorrent and so wrong. The opposite at some point becomes so too.

Who said the reports were false? Definitely one poster did here with no proof ,

Israel does not allow foreign journalists into Gaza but there are Palestinian journalists who live there and report. I trust the British surgeon who was interviewed on her return from Gaza to the UK. She witnessed children suffering from gunshot wounds. Also, I have already posted about Israel having to refute claims of atrocities by Hamas. The attack was bad enough without exaggeration.

The journalists are Palestinian, the citizens are Palestinians,
The government are Palestinian, the allegations of the horrific
attack on Israel has not been denied , unless by Hamas ,

So, just ONE simple question. WHY does Israel not allow foreign journalists in Gaza?

Whitewavemark2 Wed 18-Jun-25 07:41:24

Copied from this mornings Guardian.

The IDF has acknowledged that this is taking p,ace and are “looking into the matter”

“Witnesses have described scenes like “a horror movie” in Gaza after Israeli forces fired towards a crowd waiting for trucks loaded with flour near Khan Younis, on one of the bloodiest days for weeks in the devastated territory.

At least 59 Palestinians were killed according to medics and hundreds more wounded in the southern city. People at the scene and doctors described seeing injured and dead with wounds typical of those caused by artillery or tank fire. Unverified video shared on social media showed about a dozen mangled bodies lying in a street.

Multiple other incidents of violence involving crowds of desperate Palestinians trying to get food were reported on Tuesday. Medics said at least 14 other people were also killed by Israeli gunfire and airstrikes elsewhere in the densely populated enclave, taking Tuesday’s overall death toll to at least 73.

Eight Palestinians were reported to have died in a separate shooting near an aid distribution site in the city of Rafah, and several more injured or killed in a third incident between Rafah and Khan Younis.”

I would suggest that the last post shows why Israel does not want this reported to the world.

There is no other explanation.

Anniebach Wed 18-Jun-25 07:52:45

But your first post claims it has been reported to the Guardian doesn’t it, reported by staff working for Hamas ?

The IDF acknowledged the deaths.

Your evidence for your assertion?

Holding back before I get into trouble. This s just intolerable.

Online news is good because it keeps updating. Unfortunately, if you just glance at an item, and then go back later, it may have disappeared, so, did anyone else catch the report that France and Macron will soon have their turn of heading up an international organisation, and that one of the things Macron intends to bring forward is international recognition that genocide is being committed in Gaza?

Anniebach Wed 18-Jun-25 09:43:02

No mention on any news channel of Whitewave claim of Guardian report, perhaps a link please ?

No I haven’t seen that.

But it it needs to be done.

Hasn’t the EU said that it considers it genocide?

There are few in the world who don’t think it is genocide, even many in Israel.

Ooops, that was to Annie- as her post with no quotations marks made me think it was her comment. Apologies WWM2. as your comments make total sense.

I'll keep looking for that article. If anyone spots it first, please give me a heads up.

Anniebach Wed 18-Jun-25 10:36:13

I too have been searching for the Guardian link, disappointing for many but I do read all allegations made by the media

I did read something about Macron and Trump’s reaction, but I can’t remember exactly. I’ll have a look.

A link to The Guardian report you posted 7.41am this morning please Whitewave

Whitewavemark2 Wed 18-Jun-25 11:14:09

My iPad doesn’t do links, but it is dead easy to get the guardian up. Just google.

It is all there.

But of course you know that.
