I watched the Doctors in Gaza documentary last night on C4.

I would like to applaud C4 for showing it.

One day we will look back on the events in Gaza and Israel as a shameful moment in human history.

I think that the appalling thing is that the majority of people are outraged by what is happening, but we seem paralysed into doing anything.

The BBC dumped this programme for good reasons.

Oreo I have actively followed this sad story for nearly 40 years so am fairly au fait with the history.

The ITV news report last night was heartbreaking. Starving children in hospital but no food for them. Injured children hurt when the tent they were living in was hit. I wanted to turn it off but it felt cowardly to turn away.

This thread is almost at an end and I'm glad that most posters are saddened and horrified by what is happening in Gaza.
You need to be hard hearted indeed to be unaffected by the suffering.

Yes, yet restaurants are open.
How could anyone sit in a restaurant eating food (where has it come from?) knowing that children are dying of starvation in a hospital nearby?

How does Hamas keep going without food?

I'm not pro either side but sometimes one has to question why a child is starving in hospital when there are reports of some food being available. Who should have priority?

Jumping to conclusions about food etc simply shows bias and very little thought.

Given much thought , tea rooms open for journalists to meet and drink tea.

I'm not biased.
Nor do I jump to conclusions.

But I do like to be aware of both sides and the report of the café with an admittedly limited menu was by a Palestinian who ate there with his family.

Yes that's correct Anniebach. There was a cafe open that could only sell tea because there was nothing else to offer.A place to meet. A very little bit of normality amongst the horror....but gone now along with many lives. Shouldn't you be more outraged about that than the fact that they were drinking tea.

The one that was bombed was in tents.
