I care too, so much so that despite the heat, being old and feeling nervous, I am about to leave for a march in London which will be a long, extremely hot, exhausting day.
I hope to march with others who believe in peace in a world which may be on the brink of something so terrible we don’t even want to imagine.

You really shouldn’t be doing it at your age and in this heat.

We all want peace, it goes without saying, but we live in a world where often war is inevitable because of the actions of some.
I want hamas and hezbolla smashed and don’t want a country such as Iran to have full nuclear capability, do you?

The police have told the Jewish News that there was no indication that the vandalism was antisemitic.

The Jewish Community Council of Stamford Hill condemned the incident in a statement posted to social media. They thanked the police for their swift action in arresting two individuals. They also commented that at this stage, the incident is not being treated as a hate crime.

However, police confirmed to Jewish News that there is currently no indication the break-in was antisemitic in nature, and said it remains unclear what, if anything, was stolen.

The Jewish Community Council of Stamford Hill condemned the incident in a statement posted to social media: “This is a devastating attack on a synagogue in our community. Any attack on a place of worship, of any kind, must be condemned in the strongest possible terms. We are pleased to hear that suspects have been arrested, thanks to the swift actions of Shomrim and Hackney Police.”

Puzzled, why would anyone vandalise a synagogue and tear up
holy books and scrolls, ? Thankfully the police are on the case,
hope one officer isn’t the one who last year described a Jew
leaving a synagogue wearing a kippah as “openly Jewish”

They were probably just drugged up yobs looking for money or things to sell. The police will have known who they were and understood the motive.
It's common for burglars to wreck a place if they can't find anything of value.

Yes. Let's not go down the route of treating breakins and vandalism differently depending on the victims of the crime.

Fact. Religious books and Scrolls are treated with much reverence by Jews, painting hatred on walls is something Jews are use to, even on the schools of Jewish children,

None of us know what the motive was so it's just speculation and this thread is about the more serious problem of war between Israel and Iran. Bringing in anti semitism just makes things worse.

Antisemitism cannot / should not be denied it has hounded Jews for centuries

No country stepped in to help Jews in Europe, fact, shock when
films and knowledge of the Holocaust emerged, took years so too late

We don't want Iran to have full nuclear capability but Israel went into this war knowing that on their own they couldn't destroy the nuclear weapon that Iran has inside a mountain.
They were relying on the US to come to their aid but Trump is stalling. The Israeli government don't want a peace deal with Iran which is what Trump and other western countries want including the UK.
Nobody wants to be dragged into a war. These are dangerous times.

Irak and Afghanistan made things much worse, and probably let to where we are today.

These marches are getting bigger by the month.

Some have already said they would be marching today Whitewavemark2. I hope they stay safe and comfortable

The marches are always very peaceful.

There seems to be a huge Jewish contingent marching alongside Iranians, carrying both Palestinian, Israeli and Iranian flags.
