Much as I dislike Trump I believe he might have enough influence to achieve this.

There is video of Hamas terrorists climbing on aid trucks waving guns

Two wrongs don't make a right.

It's appalling inhumanity. I listened to an IDF Captain who had been imprisoned for refusing to fight despite having served several terms during this conflict. He said what so many of us have said, that this war is being continued to try to save Netanyahu's neck rather than for acceptable reasons of self defence. Just totally disgusting and the behaviour of settlers, who are attacking aid trucks to prevent them entering Gaza is unbelievable behaviour. Using the excuse that the vile events of 7/10 justify this mass killing and starving of a population is morally reprehensible. I have no sympathy for Hamas and tbh I have none for Netanyahu and his right wing extremists either, they are all vile excuses for human beings.

Anniebach Thu 07-Aug-25 18:32:01

Whitewave calm down please, you cannot say words from one man are words from many .

If so I can quote the words of Hamas to kill all Jews are shared
with all Palestinians?

AGAA4 Thu 07-Aug-25 18:35:42

I think that this is how Palestinians are seen by some members of the Knesset. They have wanted Gaza cleansed of them from the start.

They are extreme settlers, although Michael Rosen has posted a speech given by the Chief Rabbi of France which is pretty horrific.

JVL Introduction
Just when you think the depravity of Israel’s defenders has reached rock bottom, along comes the Chief Rabbi of France, Haim Korsia, justifying the Gaza massacres in terms that chill the blood.

In response to a French TV interviewer asking if he condemned the massacres in Gaza as he did the Israeli deaths on 7 October, Korsia said: “They are not of the same order.”

Palestinian lives – of fathers, mothers, old people, teenagers, children, infants – are “not of the same order” as Israeli lives. They do not weigh as much in the scale of humanity. They can be discounted.

Where in this post do I suggest that it is the voice of many?

Anniebach Thu 07-Aug-25 18:39:22

Defenders - plural. Defender - singular

AGAA4 Thu 07-Aug-25 18:40:36

It's bad enough if it is just one voice Whitewave but I believe it is many.

But that isn’t my quote🙄

Annie, how patronising and wrong to say this 'Whitewave calm down please,'

so many of us are finding it increasingly impossible when facing your total denial of the atrocities perpetrated now, in Gaza, the West Bank and all over Palestine.

That is what the young recruits are indoctrinated with, you hear it in their rhetoric and particularly from the settlers and various government members.

valdavi Thu 07-Aug-25 19:06:48

But surely , even if it's unsaid, that belief that Palestinian lives are not of the same order as Israeli lives - the chosen people in their god-given land - underlies nearly everything we've seen from Netanyahu and USA since 7/10.

The Holocaust was the most evil single documented event in human history and it's a travesty that it is used by so many to excuse Israel's callous racism and inhumanity towards the inhabitants of Gaza and the West Bank. Some may be terrorists. The thousands of affected young children self-evidently are not.

How many young recruits do you speak with ? Can you not stick to facts ?

I found the interview via Google, but couldn't find an English translation. My French is a bit rusty these days, but he certainly seemed to be saying as reported about Palestinians not being "of the same order". Incidentally, it was in 2024 and I think the situation has escalated since then.

There are dozens of comments under the interview saying "Not in my name".

How about you follow your own advice! hmm

This becomes a circular argument. The hostages have only been taken because HAMAS have been allowed to exist.
HAMAS must be completely eradicated. Either by Gazans themselves, or the IDF. But eliminated they must be.

AGAA4 Thu 07-Aug-25 19:44:36

It will take tens of thousands of IDF to carry out the take over of Gaza the military have said. The plan to force one million Gazans south in the first phase.
I wonder how many will get there. Medicine Sans Frontieres have said today that the violence in Gaza is "systemic and orchestrated" so not much hope for the Palestinians.

Hamas might be eliminated in their current form, but their ideology will never be eradicated - not while anybody still alive remembers what's happened. If anything, Palestinians and their descendants for many generations will hate Israel even more.

Unless Israel wants to kill all Palestinians, it will always have territories on its borders with people who hate them. It needs to defend its borders (better than it obviously has done) and accept the situation for what it is. Trying to control territories full of hostile people would be eye-wateringly expensive in terms of money and lost Israeli soldier lives. Even with US support, I doubt if Israelis want that. The cheaper option is to bolster the defences.

FriedGreenTomatoes2 Thu 07-Aug-25 19:56:52

I feel so sad for Israel. Hated on all sides. 🇮🇱

Don’t muddle people with the government.

My beef is with the action and behaviour of the Israeli government.

It surprises me Annie that you readily accept and video showing Ahmad climbing on aid trucks with guns etc, yet you choose not to believe any photographic or video evidence of what Netanyahu and his goons have done to Gaza.
As an intelligent woman surely you can spot the bias here.

Sorry that comment went weird. meant to say ‘It surprises me Annie that you accept any video showing Hamas climbing onto aid trucks…..

Oh I wish.

Please could you quote in the proper manner, so quotes are clear. Or at least use speech mark to begin and end quote.
