Man made famine - the world should be ashamed

We sit by watching as children starve to death, their mothers’ cannot feed them and their fathers’ unable to provide them with food.

Every single calorie is controlled by one government.

Why are we allowing this situation to continue?

I don't agree with Anniebach's views but I will uphold her right to say them as I would for any poster.
Including Eloethan?

I give my opinions on Israel and Palestinian Hamas, not on what a poster allegedly said in posts 8 years ago about treatment of Wales by England .
And by the by , England took land from Wales .

David you don't even need to point a gun. Drive a clearly marked ambulance...boom, boom. Wait for food to give to starving children.. boom, boom. Be a child sitting in a car surrounded by your dead family,, boom, boom. Wave white flags and shout that you're a hostage.. boom, boom. Be Palestinian and live in Gaza.. boom, boom. No one in Gaza is safe that's Netanyahu's war.

Camera, not gun!

This puzzles me, claims that Israel chooses to starve Israeli children is so untrue , it’s impossible without cooperation from the children’s families

Surely the whole point of Hamas placing cameras on hospital roof tops is to kill Israeli troops? It’s not holiday snaps.

Have you actually read what constitutes a war crime? Or are you simply dismissing it as an unnecessary restriction?

ronib Wed 27-Aug-25 07:51:44

I have read Australian sites which seem to agree that Nasser hospital has been involved in Hamas activity from the outset.

How can Australia know that? Just an opinion and attacking a hospital is a war crime especially the way it was done.
The IDF used the double attack. The first attack killed some then they wait for people to rush to their aid and killed them too.
It's was a despicable act and not a mishap.

ronib Wed 27-Aug-25 08:07:34

And it’s your opinion too - how can you know that? AGAA4. How do you know Nasser hospital hasn’t been taken over by Hamas?

Whitewavemark2 Wed 27-Aug-25 08:10:11

I have been reading the IPC report, which makes shocking reading, it is available to everyone should you be interested, but I will cope extracts for those not wanting to read a very long, detailed and sobering report.

It does bloody matter!

Israel are killing civilians for god’s sake.

AGAA4 Wed 27-Aug-25 08:14:01

Killing 20 people in case there are one or two Hamas hiding there is not acceptable and is another war crime.
Israel have used this ploy many times. Killing so many innocents because they thought there was one Hamas person there.

ronib Wed 27-Aug-25 08:14:33

Can I remind you how all this started? How many civilians did Hamas kill in October 2023? Wwm2
Please keep God out of this.

ronib Wed 27-Aug-25 08:15:24

Short memories here on GNET.

Aveline Wed 27-Aug-25 08:16:30

Hardly an eye for an eye! Massive literal overkill by Israelis.

AGAA4 Wed 27-Aug-25 08:19:51

Almost 63,000 Palestinians in retribution. They have been bombed, shot and starved.
Only around 8000 of those have been Hamas. Fair? I don't think so.

And it’s not over yet, far from it.

ronib Wed 27-Aug-25 08:33:42

No it’s not retribution.
Hamas has declared war on Israel. There’s no way Israel can accept Hamas in Gaza. The war won’t stop until Hamas is defeated. All actions have consequences unfortunately.

Whitewavemark2 Wed 27-Aug-25 08:35:19

I have decided to paraphrase.

What happens to the body as it starves?

During periods of inadequate food, the body will consume its own tissue. The longer a food deficit continues, the more depleted the body becomes, using not just reserves of energy and muscle, but also tissue and organs that are critical to life.

The risk of death from causes that otherwise would not be fatal increases with the severity of malnutrition. Increasing nutrition-related mortality and reports from surgeons on the inability of trauma patients to heal from blast injuries and bullet wounds indicates that physical reserves are depleted.

Short periods of barely adequate food, cannot compensate for long periods of inadequate food. There needs to be a sustained period of more than adequate food supply in order to allow the population to gradually build up reserves which will take months of at least 25% more than is necessary.

Israel is gradually starving Gaza to death.

I ask again

Have you read the Geneva Convention?

Or do you see it merely as an inconvenience to be ignored?

ronib Wed 27-Aug-25 08:40:01

Hamas seems to have ignored the Geneva Convention?

ronib Wed 27-Aug-25 08:40:55

Typo has not seems

Whitewavemark2 Wed 27-Aug-25 08:47:54

ronib

Hamas seems to have ignored the Geneva Convention?

So your answer is

Yes The Geneva Convention is simply an inconvenience best ignored.

Let anarchy prevail.

ronib Wed 27-Aug-25 08:49:53

Oh silly me I forgot - as a terrorist group it may not be bound by the Geneva Convention. That’s okay then?
