More than 100,000 people in central London have joined a march organised by far-right activist Tommy Robinson

I ll say no more it’s devastating for this country

Mollygo Mon 15-Sept-25 13:59:20

Cossy
Are you saying you’ve never heard of Tommy Robinson? One of Yaxley's aliases?

Nice twist to suit your agenda.

Pleased to know I'm not the only one confused as to what people were marching for! Tbh I don't think many of those marching did either and if they didn't hear the speeches they would be none the wiser.

You’d think with all the thousands and thousands and thousands (possibly millions) of people in attendance, and those offering up support on GN, at least someone would be able to shed a bit of light on it for the rest of us ‘thickos’🤷‍♀️

I find it very sad that "ordinary"people think they will "unite" behind an organisation which is being led by someone like Tommy Robinson. Tommy Robinson is about division and hatred and although I don't think they are stupid, I do think they should educate themselves with regard to fascism, scapegoating, which is a commonly used tactic by fascists and also what the government has actually been doing to reduce the level of immigration which is a lot more than was done by the previous government.

I tried to copy and paste Robinsons Wikipedia entry but it ran into so many pages I couldn’t do it. None of it was good.

I wonder if TR knows a lot of elderly grans spend half their day talking about him. grin
It’s a complete waste of time slagging him off on here btw, or trying to put people off supporting him. as his main support is young men ( men under 60 anyway ) so I doubt there’s many of them reading this forum grin. They’re also more than well aware of his past!

Whitewavemark2 Mon 15-Sept-25 15:34:38

Well looking at the speeches might help us understand a bit.

I’ve only partially listened to Musk, which seemed to come right out of the Trump’s January 6th rhetoric. That should give us some idea as to the foolishness. I haven’t yet bothered with mr four names.

MaizieD Mon 15-Sept-25 15:36:47

No-one have anything to say about Elon Musk's appearance at the March?

And the nonUK flags, on a Unite the UK march? We're some people just a tad confused as to what it was teally about?

As, I think, Musk was. Calling for division at a supposedly 'unifying event 🤔

MaizieD Mon 15-Sept-25 15:39:00

Or a joyous reminder of what it is to be British. An amazing sight. Families, young and old, peacefully protesting. Lots and lots of women are there, I notice and not a few black people, too.
And thousands upon thousands of flags.
🇬🇧

Not so peaceful - police attacked, calls for the assassination on the Prime Minister. Not very patriotic at all.

As predicted, Nigel Farage has announced the defection of Danny Kruger from the Conservative Party to Reform. There’s a press conference going on just now. Kruger will spearhead the way Reform will set up in government….. Old Etonian and Oxbridge. Very good at presentation….

Nigel Farage does the best Muppet expressions…. Kruger must be a coup for Reform?

🤣 but isn’t Reform beginning to look like the Tories as so many of them are defecting?

Whitewavemark2 Mon 15-Sept-25 15:59:18

Musk - .”you must meet violence with violence”

Q. What violence must they meet?

“U.K. needs revolutionary government change”

Q. to what?

“The U.K. needs a government by the people for the people”

Q. What form of government does he mean?

Just a bit of his speech which left me with more questions than answers.

Wonder what those on the rally thought it meant?

Babs03 Mon 15-Sept-25 16:04:06

I believe Musk told those at the march to fight back or die and to dissolve government.
Hardly a unifying message or one aimed at encouraging a peaceful march.

Babs03 Mon 15-Sept-25 16:10:04

More to the point what the heck has it got to do with him?
Brexiters should be up in arms. I mean talk about interference from a foreigner.

Yes- totally unacceptable.
But you always get a percentage of people who go with the intention of turning any protest into violence.

No you don't. I went on the 2nd Brexit march. about 1 million people. No violence at all.

Violence only seems to accompany right wing 'protests'

MaizieD Mon 15-Sept-25 16:52:48

Anyway, Mollygo, your Mr Lee had a lovely day and showed his contempt for climate change and pollution by driving 200 miles there and back when a train, or even an organised bus, would have been more environmentally friendly...

So it wasn't all bad...

Well, they criticised Obama for getting involved with the referendum. But I guess it’s ok now confused?

Yep. No violence*.No litter.
*although I do know of someone that was beaten up by a leave voter when returning from the march sad.

And hundreds of people sat watching the news about it on TVs, and reporting about it yesterday, today and tomorrow on their phones, tablets etc, using electricity and chips made from material from Taiwan and transported from there.
Not environmentally friendly either, but I’m sure you’ll come up with something else soon.

I watched Musk’s phoned-in speech. It’s only 19 minutes long if you can bear ir.

www.standard.co.uk/news/uk/elon-musk-unite-the-kingdom-march-speech-in-full-b1247841.html

Musk starts by saying he is primarily of British ancestry. That is a lie. Here’s his family tree with commentary.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=cnb-uNTo28w

His great, great, grandmother Eliza Musk (1844- 1913) was from Exning, Suffolk, England. That’s north west of Newmarket and to the south of Soham.

She had a illegitimate child called Henry Musk (1863-1917).

(In 1901, a family member and namesake was jailed for the attempted rape of a 15 year old girl he had followed in the street.)

Henry Musk moved to South Africa. The rest of Elon Musk’s ancestry is Canadian, South Africa, Swiss and Swedish.

Start with a lie. Go on with lies. The rest was Elon’s usual maniacal, conspiracy theory nonsense.

According to him.

• The British government is engaging in deliberate voter importation to sway elections.

• We are suffering from a “woke mind virus” that gives jobs to people who don’t deserve them to the detriment of white Christians.

• There is mass gang rape of children. (We know what his is reference to but he speaks as if this is commonplace).

• The BBC is complicit in the destruction of Britain.

• Villagers in Britain are at current and genuine risk of being “marauded”, raped and murdered by migrants.

• London doesn’t feel like London. It is full of crime. It will spread to the rest of the country.

Do people really believe this?

You can't make comments about Receive's party mascot Maizie. They need him to convince "the workers" and those convinced they are economically "middle-class", that they are on their side.

Obviously these extreme rightwing millionaires and multimillionaires (including their latest, Danny Kruger who has left the sinking ship that the Conservatives currently are) are going to rush to help the poor, the dispossessed and those working to earn their money wink

Why do those who consider they have no bias think this will happen? They watched Brexit go wrong, having been told it would by opposers, why do they think they will keep their promises this time? What have a party that is basically a cabal of the rich and the supper-rich going to do to help the children, the old, the infirm. All those who cannot make them richer?

Has this country turned into a herd of sheep?

Saturday was disgusting! What does it have to do with Elon Musk? People following Tommy Robinson? What the hell is going on.

ronib Mon 15-Sept-25 19:15:13

About one million sheep? Certainly way over 100,000 and very few casualties. Why can’t the msm report accurately? Sheep looking for a shepherd?

Looking for a shepherd is a great way to put it.
When your leader says he didn’t know enough about the connection between Mandelson and Epstein, yet he knew enough to put specific questions to PM which related to his association and contact with Epstein.
But then not knowing, or getting the wrong advice, or ignoring any good advice seems to be the way to go.

DaisyAnneReturns Mon 15-Sept-25 21:23:19

But we are not sheep. We don't a patriarchal figure, we need democracy. No, democracy isn't perfect, but it's still better than subjugation and dictatorship.

DaisyAnneReturns Mon 15-Sept-25 21:41:33

Don't need.
