This must be a sad day for England
(615 Posts)More than 100,000 people in central London have joined a march organised by far-right activist Tommy Robinson
I ll say no more it’s devastating for this country

By all means support Tommy Robinson the ex-football hooligan.
By all means show your support for the anti-Muslim bigot.
By all means show your support for Islamaphobia
By all means show your support for white supremacists
By all means show your support for someone known as a violent school bully.
And by all means show your support for an ex-convict for violence, corruption and hate speech.
At least we are all now clear where you stand
Utterly scary that so many people can think that waving a flag represents positive action in our community. Utterly embarrassing that anybody can find virtue in a bunch of people whose only proven contribution to our country is to shout at hotels, paint roundabouts, vandalise historic monuments and war memorials and follow hooligans who attack our police.
Wonder how many of these people do positive community service or volunteering to help those in need. How many of them can mention anything positive Farage has done for his constituency? How many of them know how Farage admires Andrew Tate and Donald Trump, and given half a chance, that Farage would be working with Trump in the USA rather than living in the UK? How many of them know their history and can see strong comparisons with the tactics used to get Hitler to power in Germany with the tactics we are seeing here in the UK used by Reform and Yaxley-Lennon?
How many of them actually understand they are debasing our national flags and the memory of those who fought and died to rid the world of Fascism?
Shame on them.
Danny Kruger, like the other Tory defectors, is trying to keep his income stream. What a collection of failures Reform attracts.........
Elon Musk, Tommy Robinson, Katie Hopkins..........and assorted hotel shouters and roundabout painters. Just what the country needs to create an amoral desert
Here we are in a very dicey position as regards financial markets which will spell hardship for many retirees and pensioners. All this world stuff will of course be blamed on your current leaders if it comes to the UK. Dodgy situation all round.
StoneofDestiny - I agree.
WWM2 has frequently and consistently stated the opposite than your list of statements in the 4 years I've known her in GN, StoneofDestiny. what brought these accusations on is utterly confuffling to me.
As I keep trying gently to say there is some very unusual stuff going on, on GN at the moment.
I am sure Whitewave doesn't need or want my help but she categorically doesn't support Reform or Tommy Robinson.

Perhaps just a typing error or something?
Easy to get carried away.
I'm still perplexed as to how someone who professes to be a humanist, wants a quiet life, even has Muslim friends (!) consistently starts nasty threads and believes that performance on Saturday was a fun family day out.
You have got the wrong poster.
It is so scary when people are saying it's better to hate our fellow human beings rather than love them.
Time to wait for WWM to explain and return to the issues not making to personal to one GN poster. Stoneof Destiny it was reportable as far as I'm concerned but rather it stood.
It was simply incorrect. Not Whitewave

Agreed. Mistaken Identity rather than a deliberate lie, I think.
I agree, Dd.
I thought the poster was reproducing a list that Wwmk2 had originally posted, but I couldn’t be bothered to check back over this depressing thread.
Otherwise, just a mistaken identity. I don’t think it’s worth reporting. It would be good if SoD came back to apologise, though.
The words ‘Far Right’ are bandied about far too freely. To feel patriotic about our country of birth and to want to retain our Christian values is not a crime or worthy of such a label.
Did you know many of the major supermarkets use Halal slaughter?
Do you think that’s acceptable?
Sharia courts too?
Threats to white women and children from those with third world customs?
Grooming gangs? All acceptable?
There are ghettos in the UK where you would not feel safe to walk.
Been to Whitechapel in London of late? Step off the tube and you think you’ve arrived in Bangladesh.
Should we feel like outsiders in certain areas of our own country?
Those who live in the rolling green hills of England, like I do, or in a retirement area of confortable houses and bungalows with like minded neighbours, are protected, in a bubble, from these mass societal changes occurring in many towns and cities.
But those who don’t, are feeling it.
Yes, there will always be extremists in any mass gathering, out to cause trouble for the sake of it and paid agitators too.
But there are also concerned families, retirees, from all walks of life, who choose to unite as British people who want to conserve what was once, a pride in Britain.

Are you accusing BlueBelle the OP here of this?
What with that and another poster mixing up Whitewavemark2 this is getting silly.🤔

Very unusual stuff 😁
Bang on the money Robin02 and those who shriek racist at every turn will be those in protective bubbles.
Hello.
I’ve been avoiding this thread for obvious reasons.
SoD I assume that you simply meant to reinforce what I had originally posted.
So I am happy to let it stand unless of course you meant me 😊. In which case perhaps you might like to have it removed.
But honestly? Either way I don’t mind as posters will know my position so it doesn’t matter.
I would like to add one more
By all means show your support for someone whose rhetoric has frequently used anti-Semitic tropes and terms
These are not people a single one of us should support.

Do you think that's likely? 🤔
Likewise the other misidentification and other misunderstandings, this is getting silly now.
