Manchester Synagogue Attack

Millions of pounds is already spent on trying to protect the Jewish community, there are so many scattered all over the country and there is no way they can be safe. I don’t know what the answer is. It is a very sad time for all of that faith now. There is only one God so why cant we just live in harmony,

I have seen it represented on TV channels but usually at demonstrations in big overcrowded cities or following a murderous incident. There is little Jewish presence where I live, and I can only recall teaching children from two Jewish families in forty years of teaching, although I taught plenty of different ethnicities.
The fact that schools for Jewish children need to have a constant security guard present is shocking; also at the Synagogues. One in a nearby town has been targeted very recently.
The blatant insincerity of the protesters is equally shocking; apparently they are protesting today because they don't like the label 'terrorist' applied to their activities.
My feeling about protesters is that they are protesting because they love it; parading in front of the cameras makes them feel important, nothing more, nothing less.

But it is shameful.

I fully acknowledge the distress felt by so many including myself.

I was brought up like I said by parents who had fought with Jewish people against Mosley and were part of the action taking in and sorting homes and support and other rights out for Jewish families fleeing after WW2 in Hull and full knowledge of the horrors of the Holocaust. Yes, they were friends.

That doesn't give any individual the right to mock WWM just because she says she is going to see Jewish friends, implying she's somehow false in doing this.

Wyllow just want to clarify any misunderstanding, I am a supporter of the bbc, and have r4on all day and often most of every night, ( insomnia) but when I listen to the news on radio or watch tv news there isn’t much reported on Gaza and even less on the West Bank. Certainly the masssive peaceful London march on 21 June which I attended didn’t get a mention on any of their news report, even in passing. At least it was briefly mentioned by itv and ch4.

I agree with you silverlining48 I would like more news especially as you say on the West Bank on the news feeds on I player.
I was really responding to those moaning about the BBC saying how biased they were etc etc when in fact they are careful to tread the middle ground. But their in depth verifying articles on Palestine/Gaza issues is pretty good I think.

But is publicly funded and they cannot say what Channel 4 does.

I get insider information from people active in Palestine Solidarity Campaigns which of course is available to all if they take the trouble.

Why would you claim to believe that Wyllow is afraid of the truth? That's a very aggressive thing to say, on a thread that is intended to be about concern, after a serious attack on innocent people.
She expressed concern about a possible hack.
Good that it wasn't a hack, but it has happened on other threads.

I agree with you on not opening posts, Allira, and you saved me from opening some mental ones ages ago, that had come up on the main menu, so thanks again for that.
With regards to the one in question just now, Wyllow does give links, and so she was quite happy to try the disputed one. She found it to be strange. Something about her own email being on it, and so she thought to warn us Posters about it.
This warning appears to have been misconstrued, and caused an unpleasant comment to be made, which goes against the ethos of these threads.

Her email won't be there for everyone, I don't think, but could be because Wyllow had her email open at the same time.
The same thing happened with me with a Facebook link on here a while ago, there was my FB page but I was assured it would only be visible to me, not to others.

Oh my goodness, as easy as that. So, one portal open at a time.

I think it’s pretty relevant, at least where the Father is concerned.
A trauma surgeon who’s worked for the Red Cross in various war torn countries but still an avid hamas supporter ( the two things do sometimes go hand in hand in spite of people not wishing to believe it when doctors have been mentioned.)
I won’t repeat here his praise for murderous terrorists but it’s on record.
