Big U turn tonight from the Police who now say there ARE grooming gangs in London despite Sadiq Khan saying otherwise. Should have listened to Maggie Oliver. 😉

This needs updating but explains some of it

The trans issue had me, family and friends finding ourselves aligning with groups with which we’d previously had little in common

Yes Galaxy, political football indeed

Galaxy

Again link people to the far right if you wish, like the last safeguarding issue where we were all far right bigots that will have absolutely no impact on me and I suspect no impact on the many women raising concerns.

No impact on me either. Using this argument is just deflection, pure and simple.

So all the Pink Ladies, mothers and grandmothers who held peaceful protests are all “far right”? Rubbish!

They were doing so because they felt passionately that these undocumented males were being allowed into our country and housed in unsuitable places.

These women have been proved absolutely right not “far right”.

"They were doing so because they felt passionately that these undocumented males were being allowed into our country and housed in unsuitable places"

Hang on a bit, we are now bringing immigration and documentation into the issue

afaik the males involved were British Citizens. I've just done a google and have found no evidence to the contrary

Any more far right obsessions to add?

Lathyrus3 Sat 25-Oct-25 12:25:42

Well, I couldn’t be called far right because I’ve said I voted Labour on another thread.

So I got called a liar and a fantasist instead. Twice.

Anything to muddy the truth🙄

It is dishonest and quite deliberate, and a tactic that Labour employ with increasing frequency; refusing to admit the situation, denying it exists, then agreeing to an investigation but simply ignoring it.
Inquiries were promised after Jess Phillips did her best to limit them to five only; there was footage of her in Parliament blaming the Tories for everything because it happened during their watch. Perhaps now she realises the difficulties and obstructions they and anyone else has in conducting an investigation with people as unfortunately influential as Sadiq Khan denying the facts.

In other words "gaslighting". Like they do most things. Disgusted, those poor girls/ woman where can they turn to if the above are denying their plight. Then we here another sexual predator has been let loose on our streets. As so many have been done recently. So 😡.

You misunderstand.

I think given how mealy mouthed certain institutions have been in trying to skew the acceptance of certain behavioural traits, there needed to be a fight back from somewhere. Look at this case in the news at the moment, the nurses who were expected to accept a male identifying woman into their changing room who made continual comments to one of the women "aren't you going to get undressed then?" Why would anyone want some fella they don't knw from Adam gawping at them at their most vulnerable. Michelle Dewberry GB News tackled that head on, before the court ruling, when she found an "identifier" in the Virgin Active changing rooms when she confronted them with "what's a man doing in the women's locker room?" Their response "we aim to be inclusive" Her "well here's my resignation then" Thank God we have women with enough clout to call this rubbish out. GB news and its influence can be attributed to weak politicians kowtowing to niche dictators and their unreasonable demands that make life increasingly difficult for the mainstream majority.

Wyllow3 Sat 25-Oct-25 12:42:19

Yes TerriBull broadly, its about what males do to women without permission, in whatever context.

Yes there is broad agreement on this thread that some specific grooms gangs are going to be a focus

But fundamentally its about Entitlement by Men considering its fine or they have rights over our bodies and our minds.

And standing up in all contexts, across religion and cultures

Susan Hall asks Khan about grooming gangs in London 9 times and he refuses to give a direct answer.

He’s such a self centred prat of a little man.

Wyllow3 Sat 25-Oct-25 13:23:25

Yes, there are quite a few of these around, in and out of politics. 🙄

Another good post from TerriBull - thank you

I’m with Wyllow - fundamentally it’s about Entitlement by men. The tv drama Adolescence shon a light on the influences our youngsters are trying to negotiate, we need good adult male role models and we get pdiddy

We seem to be getting to the bottom of who has been trying to scupper the inquiry.

This Thread has dropped but I must add this post.
'Female survivors of grooming gangs demand apology from Nigel Farage' that's a headline from The Guardian tonight.
The article goes on to say,
' Five women said Reform leader's comments that they were victims of other types of sexual abuse were 'degrading'.
then
'There is no point holding an inquiry if the scope is so small the decision is already made before it begins'

Exactly! All very fishy! Maybe Jim Gamble will say more. I had a feeling there was something going on, but I didn't know what or who. It's all beginning to make sense.
