Fleet of heavily armed US military planes land in England

According to the Times, “ At least 14 Globemasters and two Ghostriders have landed at RAF bases since Saturday as the US builds its military might in Britain after Maduro’s capture”

I know the USA have airbases everywhere, including Greenland, but why?

Are they benefitting those countries in which they are situated or just benefiting the USA?

I’m aware that the UK also has bases still in other countries, but to the best of my knowledge not USA or Canada.

Is it time to revisit whether USA troops are welcome in our Country?

There is no scenario where NATO could take action against the US, far too much technology relies on US input. We could of course ask China to help us liberate Greenland

😁

This has absolutely zero to do with security, and 100% to do with rare minerals and increasing Trumps family wealth.

Probably the minerals are a bonus but the real aim is security.
China is the major threat to the Western world.

Naw, I think as always with Trump it's money, money, money.

China has taken over and bought its way into many Pacific islands and I don’t think it is far fetched to consider that Greenland is on their list of potentials. What they do is to inject a lot of funding and infrastructure into their target country which the locals gratefully accept. No need for weapons, just brains. Their influence here in Australia is also enormous though we have not yet been taken over. Give it time. Trump might not be so avaricious and self seeking as he appears.

When in the South Pacific years ago we saw new infrastructure, harbours etc being built by the Chinese.
