Mr Trump Can't Shut This War Down........

So have I MaizieD but my DH is entirely accurate.

AI - there is no public siren warning system in place for nuclear attacks.

Iran doesn’t think so and that’s all that matters LemonJam

ronib 9.34: "Yes of course MaizieD but how do we extract ourselves? We seem implicated whether willingly or not".

US and Israel are waging this war. Trump has attempted, without success, to persuade/bully other allies to join them as active partners. UK/Starmer has made UK's position, to date, clear- thus nothing currently for the UK to "extract' from.

DH thinks the Uk has closed down its early warning systems…. And it’s expensive to restore.

Is your husband on the military?

I had the opposite reaction to that suggested by the alleged Israeli tactic - get out of this asap and don’t hang around.

Casdon yes, I agree with MaizieD’s assumption

How do you explain that Diego Garcia with a range of 3,800 km from Iran was within striking range? Casdon. Paris, Berlin, London are all in range.

I imagine trying to hit Diego Garcia was nothing more than a practice run

One missile failed in the air the other was intercepted, nothing more than what is known as ^willy waving^

I assume that USA know what missiles they have GrannyGravy13, launching an attack on a place is not necessarily an indication that they actually had the capability to reach it. I suspect MaizieD is correct in assuming that Israel want us to believe they can reach the UK, They want to escalate the war and think we will respond.

My crow flies at 4,400 km according to AI MaizieD

I assume that the U.K. government is being advised by the military?

If there was the remotest chance that a missile could be winging our way we would almost certainly by now have been “practicing” with our phone warnings and know what to expect in this event.

Iran posses little physical threat to Europe, unless it’s friends join in then we really are buggared.

Yes of course MaizieD but how do we extract ourselves? We seem implicated whether willingly or not.

^We really don't know how far Iran have got with their intercontinental missiles.^

Precisely. We don't know.

Do you think it might be in the interests of Israel to suck us into their war by hinting at the possibility of Iran attacking the UK ?

I think you have just hit the proverbial nail firmly on its head.

POTUS is making noises regarding pulling out of this manufactured war, Israel will do whatever it can to prolong the fighting and hopes for so called mission creep and new allies…

MaizieD The aerial distance between Iran and London is 4,400 km ??

I'm assuming the figure of 5,000km I found was 'as the crow flies'. do you have different information?

Also, Iran is a very large country and we have no idea where their missiles are sited in relation to the UK.

We really don't know how far Iran have got with their intercontinental missiles.

It was the Israel Defence Force that sent the information that London Paris and Berlin could be hit by an Iranian missile.

The UK is 5,000 km from Iran. I checked.

If the Iranian missiles struggled to reach 3,800km, London isn't within range.

Of course, I doubt if anyone really knows what Iran actually has in the ay of long range missiles.

Turbulent Times? Is that written by Richard North the UKIP guy, Ronib?

I know very little about missiles but doesn't the distance vary according to the weight of the explosive it's carrying? I think Germany and the UK are probably fairly safe but if Trump bombs Kharg and destroys Iran's capacity to produce oil, Iran will retaliate and then the world will be in an absolute mess for years. FGS those around Trump need to stop this madness before it escalates any further.

I hope you are right Casdon but I'm not totally convinced by that article. Even if a missile has the capability to hit Berlin it would bring us fully into this war.
Hopefully Iran has its hands full in the middle east but we have been warned. Iran have told Starmer he should have listened to his people and not been part of this war.
We are at war with Iran whether we want it or not.
