Unfortunately as with the majority of sex offenders I imagine this man will just start offending again, is a compulsion.
Those who are home grown should be imprisoned for life or chemically castrated and those from other countries should be deported.

I hope so! I think this country needs to send out a strong message to those who come here and break our laws particularly those of such a serious nature.

I'm sure I've read about criminals in Australia, emanating from the UK having lived most of their life there, being deported back here.

Lawyers will be queuing up to act for him and you can bet your life he will not be deported.

He has served 14 years of a 41 sentence.

Imagine being one of his victims seeing him enjoying his liberty.

I don’t see the point of giving someone a sentence of 41 years and then letting them out in 14. They should serve their whole sentence otherwise it’s not justice is it? Yes definitely deport him he will reoffend men like him think it’s their right to rape

Primrose, barristers ( if that is who you mean in your post) do not "queue up to act" for anyone. The system is the opposite: the individual seeks the services of a barrister via the clerk of their chambers, who allocates cases depending on the availability of each advocate.

As I understand it, although he was stripped of his British citizenship he still holds Pakistani citizenship and, as Pakistan is a Commonwealth Country, according to this ols law he cannot be deported because of the Commonwealth membership. The government can't amend the legislation retrospectively.

I believe that they are exploring ways to get round this.

Why are the anti-immigrant people so ignorant of how the law works. Barristers can't turn down cases, they have to take them on the cab rank rule if they are offered them. I doubt if they get much money for this, either.

At the moment Ahmed has no reason to go to law as he isn't being deported.

Having said that, I think that releasing him before he has served even half his sentence is appalling.
