I always remove spiders safely and transfer them to the garden - if in daylight then I make sure to put them out of sight of any birds looking for their dinner! I'm totally phobic about moths and crane flies, but still wouldn't kill them - my DH is commandeered to catch them and release them outside (in the dark, of course, so they don't fly straight back indoors grin)

Yes I also live and let live and will rescue them

I don't mind spiders; we have a live and let live policy. I would never knowingly kill one and go to great lengths to remove them safely from the bathroom porcelain when they struggle to remove themselves. They eat flies. I like that.
We lived in a bungalow in Singapore with a small garden which had a banana tree. A very large (as my hand!) hairy spider lived in it. It ate things larger than itself. shock. We kept each other at more than arms length.

JJ50 I know a good therapist - do you want the address?

I'm sorry but we don't have a capture and release policy for spiders in this house !

I admire your bravery /courage/ madness ( delete as appropriate) but they get a damn good pounding in this house until I am sure there is not a breath left !!

I'm not sure what Id do when coming face to face with a tarantula but please don't offer to help me find out smile

I must admit I people's reaction to my spider is quite amusing!

Here is one I owned a few years ago, I called it Cuddles.

I would love to own a snake, but as they eat mice of which I am phobic, I have settled for shares in the python two of my young grandsons own. I have a great photo of it around my neck like a necklace!

Not for me. I have many animals but admit I'm terrified of large spiders
Can't kill them though, I have to catch them and release them but certainly makes the old heart race in the process lol

OMG I would die rather than have one anywhere near me !

Oh no not for me either I don't mind ordinary spiders but I don't invite them in for sure.

Well someone has to love them but it ain't me

I have always liked spiders, and a tarantula doesn't need much care and attention.
