Fat date

My life is not a load of laughs and can be hard but is has its lighter moments.
My daughter has two cats, brothers, now 10 months old and as her life is as difficult as mine she has not had them "snipped" yet. They are now booked in and today had a " pre op check". One has been deemed overweight and has an appointment with the dietician. Is it just me who finds this hilarious. It has raised my spirits to a good level.

It seems that vets almost always tell us our pets are overweight. Supposedly my cats are. I will admit that Bugsie is a fat lump, but Saffron is still sleek. I adjusted their food to the quantity for the desired weight rather than their existing weight, but they don't even eat it all. Each had lost about half a kilo on the last visit, but were described as still being 'porkers' smile
In the past we were told that cats regulate their own intake, unlike dogs. I don't think this applies any more.

annsixty, I hope the dietician isn't expensive, seems a bit over the top!
