Well, going through some paperwork in our home office, I came across the documents relating to when we took on dear Oliver Sprout, who was 1 year old at the time.

It seems that he will be 3 in July (the exact date escapes me, no doubt it's included in there somewhere, but no matter)

I don't think he will be expecting a party, even though his friend Gerald from next door would probably be more than happy to come, judging by his attempts to follow Sprout in at curfew time last night!

But for an imaginary party, what would you suggest?

For games, I wondered about pin the tail on the vole, or perhaps pass the mouse, with the winner being the one who had possession of the mouse when it expired? (Cat's being evil buggers who play with their prey, rather than going for a quick kill)

Food wise, cat biscuits and jelly (the sort that comes with the tins and pouches) seems the obvious choice, although the dear departed Maurice would have gone for Stilton and smoked salmon!

If it's a daytime party "Sleeping TabbiesLions "might go down well, but if it's evening, then "Hunt the Thimble Rodent", and "Hide and Seek Pounce."
" How High Up the Wall Can You Scratch " would be good whenever.
Tuna Mousse/Jellies and of course Cream so that somebody can be the "Cat which got the cream" ???

I love the name Oliver Sprout!! I would say that out Sam would be more than willing to attend any party ( but ....Sam is. D. O. G. ) so might not be too welcome. Quite frankly Sam would go to the opening of a paper bag for a digestive biscuit !!

Don't forget the sardine with the appropriate number of candles.

grin Oliver Sprout is too much of a hooligan to be an opera lover, perhaps more of a Meatloaf type!
