I am to have a puppy. All arranged by younger daughter , son in law and son in law who isn't ? Please be happy for Lottie and for me, we are lonely and the home needs joy .

And my physiotherapist agrees

Anniebach my cocker spaniel’s breast cancer was diagnosed in the summer of 2016, she had a couple of operations to have tumours removed and finally had all the mammary glands on the affected side stripped out earlier this year. She is as right as rain now although we have to keep a look out for lumps on the other side. I know you’re worried but hopefully it will be treatable.

Phoebe sounds delightful, I’m quite envious.

Thank you baubles , I am usually so positive but find it difficult now, I will try to be so x

Phoebe is a delight

For God's sake don't feel embarrassed.... You've got feelings and are honest, so let them go.... I do, and many people would say my feelings were trivial... But not to me

Just be as you are annie. You have many friends here who are rooting for you.

Anniebach Mon 18-Dec-17 21:34:31

Bit het up today, have to give a statement to the police tomorrow, not trouble by police just The though of having to speak of personal things about my darling daughter , but it must be done.

Thank you x

Annie, I hope you manage to have a good night's sleep tonight, and not worry too much about tomorrow. Night, night, God bless.

Take cover, another moan, doctor came out to see me at eleven last night, have a badly infected arm, my left naturally as I am left handed . Given anti biotics, just read not to be taken with antacids, so sod the reflux.

Please, please tolerate my moaning a bit longer x

Jalima1108 Tue 19-Dec-17 10:20:30

Oh dear, is it cellulitis? I have had that (and again recently). The antibiotics are vital and it could be that you need more than one week's worth to get rid of it.

Wishing you all the best and hope the antibiotics kick in quickly.

Cherrytree59 Tue 19-Dec-17 10:59:07

Oh Annie another hurdle for you jump.
Can you sleep in the chair during the day?
I know it's not ideal but any sleep is better than none.
And being upright should help your reflux.

Hopefully it will be an officer from the bereavement team who will take your statement they should be able to guide you through it.

If you can have something planned for straight after they leave.
or come on GN.
Better than going over and over again in your head.

flowers x

Jalima1108 Tue 19-Dec-17 11:43:14

Could you bear to write some notes down to get your thoughts in order?
Too often we think of something we should have mentioned afterwards.

Anniebach Tue 19-Dec-17 13:37:28

Done it, took hour and half , said all I wanted to say, it is now on record, the truth is anyway. I can do no more for my girl.

The infected arm is the result of this idiot playing with Phoebe who got too playful and scrammed my arm, I had run out of anti septic cream so just stuck a plaster on it. Not sensible. Hate antibiotics they make me sick and light headed, hay ho. No word from vet yet.

Thank you all x

NannyTee Tue 19-Dec-17 13:53:23

Ahh that's all done then. I'm on antibiotics too Anniebach . Every bloomin year haha. Hope your arm feels better and vets news good.

Crafting Tue 19-Dec-17 21:35:58

Oh annie your poor arm. Have you tried sleeping sitting up as cherrytree suggested? If I find it difficult to sleep sometimes I sit wrapped up in a chair and find I drop off a bit easier. Hope you sleep tonight x

WilmaKnickersfit Tue 19-Dec-17 21:44:02

Annie hope you can get some sleep. flowers

Anniebach Tue 19-Dec-17 21:51:08

Crafting, I have no problem getting off to sleep, light out radio off at midnight, come around 3.00am, woken with build up of wind, and if I eat chicken indigestion too, I never have heartburn thankfully, so warm in bed and the dogs asleep it's too cold to go into the living room . I make a mug tea, the warmth is comforting and helps, then two rennies and back to sleep by about 4.30. I don't change my diet, putting on that stone is on hold . Have recently enjoyed yoghurt my tummy hasn't , wish I knew what causes it, dietician said to up the Ensure and it's tempting just to drink Ensure , seems every time I get positive and make a plan something crops up and sets me back, could be self pity? The firm closes for two weeks on Friday so things will be even more quiet. I was use to being busy. Sorry to moan . I seem to have lost the ability to make decisions and have little self confidence , must get myself together . No results for Lottie back today,

WilmaKnickersfit Tue 19-Dec-17 22:14:07

Annie you should practice being kinder to yourself. If someone close to you told you all that's happening in their life and it's mainly hard stuff, you wouldn't say to them some of the things you are saying about yourself. It's not selfish to stop being hard on yourself, it's the healthiest way to live. Carry on taking one day at a time and remember what Scarlet O'Hara said. "Tomorrow is another day." flowers

Anniebach Tue 19-Dec-17 22:42:02

Wilma, you will now think me barking, my darling daughter for my birthday 2016 walked two miles to a sale of an auctioneer, Saw a three foot x five foot framed cinema poster of Gone With The Wind, bid for it, won the bid then carried it the two miles and a further mile to my home , my birthday present. We use to watch the film and at the end would both chip in with Tomorrow is another day .

I feel so emotional now yet happy remembering that day , thank you x

Anniebach Tue 19-Dec-17 22:42:33

?

Overthehills Tue 19-Dec-17 22:49:36

Oh Annie I’m glad you’re feeling even a little bit better. Listen to all that Wilma says - she’s talking good sense.
Night night, God bless.

Jalima1108 Tue 19-Dec-17 22:50:00

How lovely!

I wanted to see the re-working of Gone With the Wind and knew DH wouldn't go (this was years ago) so I told him it was a war film.
Well, it is set in the Civil War isn't it.

WilmaKnickersfit Wed 20-Dec-17 00:00:39

Annie what a lovely memory! Gone with the Wind might seem OTT to some people, but that last line is a classic and never a truer word was spoken. tchwink

And Jalima I love your strategy! Did he enjoy the film? tchgrin

Anniebach Wed 20-Dec-17 09:20:32

Granddaughter1 who is studying English at university enjoys it too, she said Scarlet was a feminist ?
