I' m so sorry that this is happening. It's the worst feeling losing a pet particularly when there are other things going on as well. She's in familiar surrounds anyway which is a blessing in disguise. All best wishes at this time. x

So very sorry to hear this merlot, it is indeed heartbreaking. I thoroughly applaud your decision to let her end be as peaceful as possible. Very best wishes to you and Millie flowers

That’s hard to cope with, especially when you’ve other sad things happening at the same time. flowers

So sad to part with such a dear little friend. They have such a short life. flowers.

It’s so hard I know. Lost two of my lovely dogs last year. I miss them still and remember the love and happiness we brought each other ??

Lots of love to Millie ❣️

Such sad news merlot. It's always difficult when a loved pet reaches the end of the road and I've been in tears myself about it several times. But Millie is lucky dog to have had a happy and loving home. As you say, lots of TLC for her and I hope she has a peaceful passing.

Our lovely Jack Russell, Millie, has been diagnosed with end stage heart failure. We spotted her belly was enlarging so after ruling out worm infestation and bloat the vet did an X ray and tomorrow will follow it up with a scan but we've decided not to go down the specialist treatment route which will be more than our insurance company would be willing to cover given that she's nearly 11 years old and we don't believe in prolonging a dog's life when there's really no point.

So, tomorrow afternoon I will bring her home for lots of TLC. We'll know when it's time to call the vet.

She has had a really good life, two litters of lovely puppies and owners who adore her. All our other JRs have lived well into their teens so I'm heartbroken that I won't have Millie for much longer but it's the price you pay for the unconditional love they give you.

We're having a pretty sh***y time chez merlot at the moment. sad
