We have just adopted a female kitten, she’s had a rough start to life, to cut a long story short my daughter is a vet nurse and the kitten was left at the practice last Friday in a bad state. About 5 weeks in weaned, very under weight and with a bad injury to her jaw.
We have taken her in, and she is now gaining weight, eating well, almost weaned and playing/sleeping well.
The only problem is her name, we just can’t agree. We won’t something fun, but not silly, any ideas ?
My new cat came on Friday. He's so friendly I'm glad I didn't get the shy one from the shelter. The girl who rescued him called him Thomas and I quite like that. My only problem is as he was a stray he is dying to go outside. How long should he stay in?
Thank you so much for all your ideas, a friend called in yesterday and said “ oh what a bonnie wee thing “ and that’s was it - Bonnie !
So we have had her 2 weeks now, she’s doubled her weight, still low for her age but ok. Stitches in her mouth out and healing well, eating well, weaned but soft food only whilst her mouth still heals.
Betty. I've always wanted a little black cat called Betty. I like your suggestions phoenix. My main coon Rosie's official name is Florence Rose. Which, coincidentally, is David Cameron's younger daughter's name.
Kircubbin, we have always been advised to keep all rehomed cats (of which we’ve had many) in for six weeks. It’s a bit of a struggle but the time soon passes. The benefits far outweigh the disbenefits. ?
FC ... good name suggestion. It made me go looking on YouTube for a clip of Ram Jam ... and I found one from 1977. I remember dancing to that when we were young ... ‘Bam a lam...’ ?
