I love cats. The only one I wouldn’t have again is a Russian blue. I loved my boy but he didn’t love us and could be quite aggressive when the mood took him. We called him Putin. I have had many cats and at the moment we have 2 lovely calico rescue cats. One of ours lasted 24 years and he was an adult stray when he found us. He was a huge tabby and used to dribble and purr with delight when you stroked him. I still miss him and we were daft enough to create a memorial garden in his memory.

Here's our current. A rehomed Maine Coon called (by previous owners) Jackson.

We've had all sorts of cats but mostly Maine Coons. Lovely boys all. However, I still miss our little Birman YumYum. There's just something about her personality!

I agree about Birmans , they have big personalities.
My cream girl once got into a paramedics bag when he'd come to see hubby who wasn't well at the time.

She would "talk" to anyone smile I miss her everyday.

Having had the privilege of looking after pretty much every breed, my favourite has to be the good old moggy like Oreo. If I was asked to choose a breed it would definitely be the Bengals. So calm and friendly.

I miss my Bengal, Saffron, who was put to sleep at Christmas. I would say she was far from calm! She behaved like a needy teenager even at 17. They are a loving characterful, vocal breed, my favourite. I still have Bugsie, my 20 year old BSH 'highwayman' black and white. All he does is sleep and eat and has only ever showed me affection when food is on offer!
When B has gone I shall rescue an elderly cat for my remaining years.

I prefer basic cats and would like a ginger next. Unfortunately my cat is very jealous and gets upset when I catsit.

Definitely a British "moggy"! Best cat "breed" ever, IMO.

Any cat at all rings all my bells,

Most of mine have been unwanted kittens from farms or other country households where no-one ever dreams of paying a vet to neuter either toms or queens.

I have never in the 73 years I have (to date) lived on this earth met a cat I could not love.

I agree AuntieE. I seem to have cat radar and can spot any cat in passing and just have to have a word with it.
I like dogs too but not all of them.
