British Long Hair. Like the better- known British Short Hair only fluffy.
They are big stocky cats with round faces and gorgeous big round eyes. I adopted two from the same rescue when they were 8 and 9 and they are a blessing in my old age.
How do I post a picture to enchant you all with my beauties?

When we lost several cats on the road we had some pedigree house cats. Had several brown Burmese, which I loved, but one of them died soon after we had him ( multiple abnormalities…breeder should never have given him to us…he was a bogof). His sister then escaped one night and was killed on the road; she was adorable. We then had another Burmese ( chocolate) who was always trying to escape. By that time we’d built a pen for them in the garden with a tree to climb on. At that time we had a British shorthair who, unlike the Burmese, had road sense so she was allowed outside, which made life quite difficult as Tristan, the Burmese was jealous of her because of it. She was also the worst killer we’d ever had; you name it she’d catch it. I’d read that silver tabbies were like that.I no longer have cats as I’m paranoid about them being hurt. At the time I would have loved a Siamese although I’ve heard that they are very noisy. My Burmese were wool eaters. Socks, jumpers, you name it they ate it! If I did have another cat I’d love a Maine Coone ( although I’m not very good at grooming). The best cat I ever had, though, was a little black cat that my ex found as a stray. He was irreplaceable and I don’t think anyone ever had a better cat. I had a little grey cat called Rosie who just disappeared one day. We never found out what happened to her.

When I was a child I had a Siamese cat, she had a beautiful temperament. When she died we were offered a rescue Siamese. He was hyper active, climbing the curtains, lifting shell nuts out of a bowl etc. After a couple of weeks he went to live with the neighbours, who also had an older, male Siamese, to calm him down.
DH and DCs allergies meant no more cats.

Adorable cats in the pic😍
I like plain old moggies with a bit of character and maybe a tatty ear.😄

Birman. We had one years ago, very loving and beautiful.

Both your cats are adorable. I have a huge ginger cat called Clarence. He’s very good company, as I imagine yours are too.

My adorable Molly is a moggy wouldn’t trade her for a sack of gold.

Is he quite vocal?I’ve always found ginger cats to be chatty. Always wanted a big ginger cat. When I moved into my current house the ginger cat who lived next door used to lift the letter box on my front door. The first time it happened I looked straight across and, of course, there was no one there. Looked down and there was Shreddie. He had lived in my house at one time.

Having had the privilege of looking after pretty much every breed, my favourite has to be the good old moggy like Oreo. If I was asked to choose a breed it would definitely be the Bengals. So calm and friendly.

I love all cats , a new neighbor 3 doors down moved away and left one of her cats, he's a big very friendly boy, who comes to my door every day for breakfast, and dinner, I've now started buying him cat food with my weekly groceries I love him

My favourite is the Birman . I used to have a cream girl .
I've never known so much love from a cat. I miss her everyday.

I have a huge Ragdoll, she's a Blue Mitted. with the biggest bluest eyes. She follows me everywhere, even to the bathroom at 2am in the morning and chatters away to me and then she follows me back to bed. She's like a bodyguard.

My little rescue tabby whom we’ve now had for just over 2 months is beginning to show her character, and she is a delight.

Plays with her toy mice for ages, and has settled into a real routine. Is the gentlest of cats and a pleasure around the house.

At the moment we are learning how to deal with Tofu the next door ginger, who of course has had the garden all to himself, but it is clear that Roo intends to be queen of all she surveys!
She doesn’t “say” anything as Tofu yowls and hisses, she simply sits and stares. Eventually, he calms down and quietly turns and wonders off. Roo 99% of the time stays within the garden confines and has only 2-3 times gone over the fence, but comes back within a very short time.

She is laying on the bed as I tap on my iPad, purring like mad.

Burmese, I’ve had three so far and they were a delight.

I have also known a few lovely moggies so would be happy with that.

We've had all sorts of cats but mostly Maine Coons. Lovely boys all. However, I still miss our little Birman YumYum. There's just something about her personality!

NotSpaghetti Sun 13-Apr-25 06:58:45

Hunter is really pretty Alice

Grandma70s Sun 13-Apr-25 08:10:55

Any sort of cat for me! I love all cats. I can’t have one where I live at the moment, and I think I miss them more than I miss humans! I’ve had cats all my life, four at one time.- twin gingers, a tortoiseshell and a brown tabby.

LadyGracie Sun 13-Apr-25 08:31:06

This is Paddy, he’s a moggy, he’s 8 and used up most of his 9 lives already.

I’ve had cats all my life, Persians and BSH are my favourites, we’ve had them from rescues.
