Starting new thread.....

Rhinestone Sat 14-Oct-17 14:12:21

* Yogagirl*We have woods behind our house . We get many deer but that’s not always good for the garden.
CelebgranI feel for you. Our pets are our family and it’s so hard when they are ill and can’t speak. I can tell you have been a great mom and will be there for her.
We got a new tree for the holiday three years ago. Then the estrangement came a few months later and we have never set it up. We lost our resolve because of that and my in laws both dying. I did the Xmas eve dinner every year for twenty five years previously. My dd had us over last year.

Rhinestone Sat 14-Oct-17 14:15:44

Hers a pic of our pond too. The sound of the water is my tranquilizer.

Rhinestone Sat 14-Oct-17 14:16:36

Oops forgot the picture.

Luckylegs9 Sat 14-Oct-17 20:28:31

Celebregran, Rosie has had a long happy life, but has no quality of life left, which is going to get worse, so what you are doing is right, you are putting her needs before your feelings which is what more owners should do, lots keep their pets because they cannot face that step. Wenesday will be hard, enjoy these last few prescious days.
Rhinestone, another lovely picture.
Yogagirl, I don't know what it is, but every bit of me hurts, but my arm is so painful and I can't lift it. I have a toothache, the dentist has been saying for 6 months will settle, but it doesn't, think I am just run down and tired, but can't sleep. Oh my don't I sound a moaner.x

celebgran Sat 14-Oct-17 22:12:55

No you don't sound like s moaner lucklegs!

Thanks very much I needed hear that about Rosie 2 vets can't be wrong but I am always a worrier.

I was great to speak to you today.

Let's hope we can meet up like we did with smilless st some point.

You need to get the tooth sorted! Toothache is awful and it sounds like nerve pain to me.

After last night tonight can only be better!
I was overcome with grief and my immune system is low according to dh after my op so virus has flared up.
My dearest son was so kind and understanding and we have another date sorted 10th Nov, I love him so much,

My dear nephew wife sent lovely message when their colds better going visit cheer us up.

Wouldn't it just be wonderful to hear from my daughter, I would draw firm line under all that's happened and just give her huge hug!

Rhinestone that's lovely photo of your garden.

Here's my precious rosie taken this morning,

She is lying on cold Lino in loo and she always lays in my ensuite overnight I think it's because she can't get comfortable.
I love her far too much lucky legs to keep her in pain.

Rhinestone Sat 14-Oct-17 22:55:44

LuckylegsI think you may have arthritis. A few months ago I could hardly lift my arm and my shoulder hurt. My foot hurt too and the doctor said the foot had arthritis in it. As soon as I took my arthritis meds it went away. I’m no doctor but it sounds like it to be.
CelebgranI hope you hear from your daughter but hope you will Not have any expectations so you won’t be more disappointed. We hope and hope so much.
Your little lady looks so sweet. I know how my last dog stopped eating and drinking. I laid with her in the back seat of our car and on the floor with her at the vets as we said goodbye. I know for me I wanted to be with her at the end and am glad I was. You are being selfless by doing what you have to do she won’t suffer. My hugs to you and Rosie.?

MesMopTop Sun 15-Oct-17 02:53:09

Celeb gran, Google the Rainbow Bridge. It's brautiful and will make you cry but will give you some peace. You're done what's best for your little Rosie, it's one of the most difficult decisions to make but as its done from love you know it's the only decision. Think of the wonderful, happy life and love she had. Not many little dogs have been as lucky. Sending loving thoughts x

Yogagirl Sun 15-Oct-17 08:15:43

Lovely pic again Rhinestone, must be lovely seeing deer in the mornings!

Luckylegs you must visit the doctors and get your arm sorted, as R has said, some meds will take away the pain. For your tooth, I swear by 'Orawearness' healthy mouth blend, you can use it like a mouth wash, just a couple of drops, it's very expensive, especially as it's imported from Hawaii and I had to pay £12 import duty on my last order, but it really does work! You can also put it on your floss or interbrushes.

Celebgran Rosie looks adorable! It would be wonderful if you heard from your estD, I hope you do flowers

Starlady Sun 15-Oct-17 08:22:53

Not a "moaner," Luckylegs. You're in pain. I hope you listen to the advice others gave you.

Luckylegs9 Sun 15-Oct-17 14:46:22

Celebran, Rosie looks lovely. Hope your d gets in touch.
Thank you all for your concern, I know I need yo go to the dentist, but just want the tooth out now, Dentist says it could settle, but what's the point of this pain? Think it strange that Arthritus is all over my body, I haven't felt right since my flue jab, I will never have another one, been having them since I was 50 as I had Pleuracy, twice. I will try to get in to Doctors tomorrow. Off to Eastbourne for a few days next week and can't face it if I feel like this, so I have a week to get right.

celebgran Sun 15-Oct-17 16:10:22

Somemes lucklegs when we feel low or down our whole body comes out I. Sympathy! Fri night I was awful Tim ached, earache, runny nose, shivery, not saying that's why you're feeling poorly but our emotional well being follows our health I believe.

If that tooth is infected it can affect your general health get rid of it! Sometimes private dentist will do anything keep charging us hard to trust them!

We went to church today lit candles, took Rosie to beach and lots pictures, she is snoring by my side but I know bless her it's her time, she now had a sore lump under her mouth.
She is so brave and this morning after dh took her out struggled to try come back upstairs see me,! Dh hadmhelp her.

Thanks so much everyone for kind support yes yogagirl I pray will hear from daughter that would be wonderful to come out of sorrow.

Thanks to new lady will google that upmwhen feel stronger at moment trying not to keep crying!

Yogagirl Sun 15-Oct-17 17:50:30

That's why I won't have the flu jab Luckylegs I hear so many people say they are so unwell after it!

Celebgran I have to help my little Lilly up the stairs, usual in the mornings, but before I started giving her glucosamine for mobility & activity, I had to carry her up and down all the time for about 6mnths, now she is great! Perhaps you could try it for Rosie xx

celebgran Sun 15-Oct-17 23:07:01

Rosie has a lot of issues yogagirl, her back legs have gone sadly. It's not arthritis it's an age thing. She tries really hard and makes a few stairs, then dh rescues her.

I know you mean well yogagirl but it is very painful decision and we would not have taken it without vets advice.
It would be selfish to let her suffer anymore.
I am sure you wouldn't want your little dog to be in pain and to be honest they are unable to tell us, we can only go by vet diagnosis. We let her have a hysterectomy last year at 13 and she recovered and a cancer operation in June now it has spread to her blood there is nothing can be done.

We have had a lovely weekend and if u look on f book yogagirl u can see her last weekend was lovely, she can't walk far or run but we managed get her to beach.

Tonight we Skyped our son so he could see her.

celebgran Sun 15-Oct-17 23:10:44

Mesmoptop thsnks for your understanding i a man trying hard keep from crying so won't Google that yet, I made myself quite ill Friday crying.

celebgran Sun 15-Oct-17 23:13:06

Yogagirl flu jab won't make u ill dh always has it that is a had one Thursday right as rain, it's me that's poorly I am not old enough but theymeltting me have one due to my major operation immune system low.

Take it from me as pharmacists wife it's rubbish to think flu,jab makes you ill,

Rhinestone Mon 16-Oct-17 00:38:17

I agree with Celebgran. My dad was a pharmacist too and he said the flu virus was a dead virus. Besides I think it takes a few weeks to work. Probably got a bug beforehand.

Luckylegs9 Mon 16-Oct-17 17:19:47

Seeing the doctor and dentist tomorrow. Have arranged to have done X Ray on this tooth, so hopefully get things sorted out. Don't know what the arm problem is. Thanks for your support everyone. I have been low the last few weeks and I forgot believe stress attacks our immune system, but when your estranged it's hard to avoid stress isn't it.
Celeb, can understand how bittersweet these last few days with Rosie are, sending you ?
Yogagirl, sorry you feel so upset at the minute, find after a lovely holiday you had, when you come back, reality brings you up sharp.
