How many times have you been in love?

Once but as we have been separated almost a year, not sure I like him atm and question if I really did love him deep down

Just once really. I fell totally in love when I was 53.

Twice and I married them both

I saw the thread title in the Active list and looked to the right and saw the number 78.

That made me laugh.

But it was the number of replies, not the answer to the question!

Twice.
I am now married (for the second time) to one of them.
My first marriage was not one of them although I tried very hard to make it so.

If I'm completely honest, once.
Adored him and him me. Together 40 years. He died in Nov 2020. We were still in love.

Twice and I believe I married the wrong one.

Twice. The first was unrequited, and I was heart broken. The second I married and was gloriously happy u til he had an affair and it all went wrong. B****

Twice, although the first was probably more of an obsession. The second is my husband of 37 years, everything a man and husband should be but I still think, occasionally, of the first chap.

Met my dh in 1957 when I was 16. Loved him straight away as only teenagers can and continued loving him. Had ups and downs but love him more now than ever.

Every time we have a new baby or kitten in the family!

4 times, 1st boyfriend age 13 to 17, we would have married but i refused to live with his mother, 1st husband but after 2 years we wanted different things, my second husband was my soul mate and left widowed at 39 after 18 happy years and my last partner together for 18 years and he died in may this year, i know it is early days but i think i will stay on my own, not into the dating and everything, just lucky i like being on my own,,lol

Once, I married him and was very happy till he unfortunately died 32 years later.

I read somewhere many years ago that you have 3 loves, young fun love, serious responsible family fun love and getting old together love. And if you are very fortunate it’s the same person for all three.
I always thought I was in love with my boyfriends but made 2 seriously wrong marriage choices for a lot of different reasons but I am definitely third time lucky, together from age 48 And still going strong 16 years later.
