Some pics from my garden today

Stunning against that blue sky, Bags. I love bark too.

These are lovely bags, and such a beautiful sky.

Bluebells just beginning to open in my garden today. Lots of tiny Shepherd's Purse as well.

Hey there Bags , lovely photos!

What is the white one? I ask because I have one in my garden , seems quite similar, don"t know the name , which I would like to. [like to try and identify the stuff I have ] as it was here when I came !

Has a very lovely fragrance !

You're photo's are a real joy bags. Love this time of year when the garden comes alive again.

Lovely Shepherd's Purse.

nonu, as ffinn says, the white one is Shepherd's Purse. It is TINY and most people regard it as a weed but when you look closely, it's a lovely wildflower . Across one flower measures between two and three millimetres.

Glad you enjoy, agus and ffinn.
Hope your back isn't too painful, agus.

Morphine is masking whatever is there and I can live with that. What I can't live with is not being busy in the garden and having to content my self with counting buds and checking on new growth!

I was admiring a beautiful tiny white flower yesterday during my garden inspection. Shepherd's Purse, now I can put a name to it thanks.

Some hellebores, an old fireplace mantel filling a gap, which will have pots of geraniums on it, and my son the Phantom Food-filching from Fridge Thief who photobombed my picture of my new metal garden furniture.

I agree re the shepherd's purse, there are so many beautiful small flowers that we just think of as weeds.

Sorry thatbags, I have just realised that it is a thread for your photos, rather than anyone's!

I don't think it's a thread just for thatbag's photos, Janerowena. I took the title to be generic. Lots of other people have posted photos.

Your garden looks v. interesting - and the hellebores are delightful.

All garden pics welcome, janer! I love seeing other people's garden pics.

I am so enjoying this thread, please keep 'em coming.

A fireplace in the garden! Love that idea Jane

Take it easy with the compost shovelling bags

Cheers BAGS, no that is not my plant, mine is much larger!
Back to drawing board, I have a notion and only a notion it MAY be a Choisiya. <,wrings hands>

*janerowens, your photos are lovely , you have a good lookin" boy there .

I've just had the pleasure of looking at all your photos again on visiting DD's I pad. I'm very impressed both by the photos and the Ipad. Much better than looking at them 2 inches square on my netbook. I want one of my own now.

I like bags's plant portraits.

I have several zillion photos and am always taking more, so I can bore you all to tears. I shall try to restrain myself.

The following photos were all taken just over a week ago.

Oh dear, gransnet isn't working again today. I shall just upload a couple of photos before I give in and start doing something useful, then.

JANE, exquisite, especially those tulips!
have you a name for them ?

Lovely photos of all your flowers. Makes me feel nostalgic for the UK.

Had to chuckle at the photo of your 'fridge thief' janerowena ! If looks could kill...... ( I have a similar specimen)

It's quite an ugly name for such an unusual flower - tulipa Cummins.

Yes, that look made me laugh. I have it on my desktop now, I put it on there straight away to annoy him! Two pieces of pizza and it was only 11am!

JANE, thanks I have made a note on my calendar for September.

Suppose you get them from specialist bulb sellers?

Something different: our tree fern fronds poised to unfurl their fractal beauty (sorry, really cheesy)

Pretty, mine are at the same stage !

I think you can Always find beauty in the garden , whatever stage it is at !
