COP 26 opens

Well MY government didn't get a seat at the table despite having already cut emissions by 50% and powering 97% of our electricity needs by renewables.
Of course Bojo was very vocal about not wanting Nicola Sturgeon anywhere near the COP26 event and only Union flags to be flown .Sadly(ha ha ha) he didn't get his way ,Nicola may not have been at the top table but she met just about everyone of importance one to one or in small groups .Made pledges about support for nations already dealing with climate change and about a fair and just transition from fossil fuels....shame there's no back up from WM.
Delegates from around the world, including the two who stayed with us, loved Glasgow thought everyone was welcoming and many have said they will be back .It may have been a failure in some eyes but it was great PR for my home city .Could Bojo just have been worried about getting shown up by the FM ?

What the agreement means in simple language

It seems that, in the news conference about COP26 yesterday Johnson referred to Glasgow as Edinburgh. I missed that as my brain fogs over when he talks, especially when he’s trying to avoid answering a question (which is most of the time….).

We have just had a formation of military helicopters flying over our home, in the direction of Prestwick Airport.
Someone very important must have been going home!

Mind you to be fair Johnson was only in Glasgow for about an hour for the biggest crises ever facing mankind, so it would be easy for him to forget.

The Tories in general seem to have very poor geographical knowledge of the country they are governing.

Raab didn’t seem to realise that we even an island at one point!
And there have been a number of MPs who never seem to know where they are or where they have been.

At least he didn't think he was in Ireland...
