HQ - the new flying video ads are driving us bonkers!

To be fair, he's at the top of the page but jumps down over the message box.

It's a Curry's ad here today now for me (iPad)?

Apple iPad and I am fed up with any ad especially hate those that flash, moreover those that hide the text at the top of the page are not much better. What do I need with a scalextric it doesn’t take me anywhere, not even to dreamland.

BTW, I am not interested in buying Lego.

It's driving me crackers, too.

I use Chrome on phone, tablet and laptop. I use the desktop site on all three because I don't like the mobile site.

I've never minded the sidebar adverts, except when they are animated, because I know that advertising contributes to making the site free for us, but these video things are just horrible. Please stop them, Gnet.

Android tablet, chrome. Desktop site. Personally, I seem to have solved the problem by switching to the mobile site, but that 'fix' hasn't worked for everyone.

On my device, it's the sound on the video that is most annoying - my tablet being bigger than a phone, at least the ads don't obstruct the text box.

I often have more than one window open once, flicking between them to do different things.

Please, please HQ, do something about this. It totally ruins the experience of being on this forum. It is driving me mad, both on desktop and Samsung tablet.

I am using a Samsung galaxy tablet and these video clip advertisements are driving me crazy, if you don't get it sorted I will stop using Gransnet.

I’ve just gone into settings to block pop ups, let’s hope that works. This is a new iPad and all updates have been done.

I do not have this problem with any other web site so it must be a flaw with Gransnet.

I’ve put Adblock plus on my MacBook Pro and it’s stopped the videos but they come back every time I go back into GN. Adblock icon is on the toolbar now so I can just confirm it to kick in again.
Video Ads are on iPhone 8 but they’re on top right, small and don’t cover anything. They’re not there every day. None today!
My sound is always up full and rarely on silent but I never get sound from the videos.
I use google chrome on both devices.

I’m on iPad mini with Safari
I mute my iPad so wasn’t aware or the noise either
It is extremely annoying

And I’ve just had three pop ups in less than two minutes this morning!

Forgot to add, I have my iPad on silent so was not aware there is a sound issue.

I am using Chrome on iPad. Don’t know how to do a screen shot on iPad. It is so annoying it puts me off coming here.

It has taken me half an hour to type a post, due to these annoying adverts blocking the text box and as for the sound blaring out. I have had to mute my tablet!
I close one and another pops up. I have been in Google settings and made changes, to no avail.?
