‘Royal’ Forum anyone?

It was commented upon the other day that there were four threads relating to the Royal family.

Seeing as we are in Platinum Jubilee Year, would a ‘Royal’ or ‘Monarchy’ forum be of interest?

For royalists and republicans to comment upon.

I think it’s a great idea but sadly is likely to cause dissent. Goodness there’s dissent already.

But why would a separate Royal Fsmily forum cause dissent? Surely those who wish to contribute and read are free to do so, as witn all subjects? Or ignore if they wish. Unless what you really mean is a Royal Family adoration thread? Either way it makes little difference to me, fill your boots!

Yes please, that way those that don't want to constantly read about the Royal Family could avoid that forum completely, safe in the knowledge that they won't be popping up all over the place.

The title of this thread gives the hint to anyone who wants to avoid any discussion about the Royals

There is no guarantee that posts about the royals will be on the right forum.

It's a brilliant idea but will be wrecked by the usual people

Nothing wrong with people expressing their views about the royal family, for or against, but a specific thread won't prevent the perpetual comments aimed at provoking, goading and ultimately upsetting posters, not their opinions.

Started already.

So true.
They usually wait till page 3 before starting up. They're on form tonight.
Didn't even get past page 1 before it kicked off.

You keep dropping hints about your connexions Callistemkn.

What I want to know is do you have a tiara? And if so do you wear it?

Blossoming Mon 18-Apr-22 20:42:08

Sorry Callistemon spelling!

I'd just like to ask a favour please.

Could everyone see how many times veiled insults and complaints are thrown at people who are accused of not adhering to the accepted positive view of royalty, and causing discord, compared with anything going the other way? i.e. anybody having a go at the RF or monarchists.

To save you the work, it's currently 8-0.

You can make of that what you will.

Ooh, I’ve found a lovely tiara and only £6, I may buy 2.

You need at least half a dozen, although diamonds do go with any outfit.
