Spam threads - a message from GNHQ

We're sorry for the enormous amount of overnight spam - we're working our way through removing it all now.

We'll be discussing how we can prevent this in future, so please bear with us.

I think GN should shut us down for a little while and sort this out as we are clearly being targeted - old threads as well as new.
I could live with that instead of this awful tsunami of spam.

It's awful, isn't it? I imagine they are trying with high level help to chase IP's/hackers bouncing stuff around the world to be as untraceable as possible.

I'm sorry to bang on, but I still don't understand why GN report that 'the message has been deleted', but still the threads, with their titles, remain there for all to see. Why can't the whole thread just disappear in its entirety?
