I love Wimbledon and used to book weeks off work to watch it or go in person when I was lucky enough to get tickets. I’m watching Serena at present after having a nail biting time watching Nadal, who’s my absolute no 1.

I have just looked at the wrong thread I think. People moaning about tennis so bit confused but it was with the title Wimbledon.

Anyway thank goodness Rafa won his match.

I just want to say when I started the Wimbledon 2022 thread I had hoped to read comments from other tennis fans, but was disappointed to see that the usual “I hate tennis “ posts started to creep in.
I honestly don’t know why people bother to say that.
Those of us who are tennis fans aren’t remotely interested in hearing from those who hate it.
Haven’t they got anything better to do?

Sorry JenniferEccles, I have moaned about the BBC coverage but not the tennis. ?

The Serena match had me getting quite hot and bothered. I really wanted her to win but Harmony Tan was exceptional. They both were. Would have made a brilliant final.

Serena was actually 4-0 up in the tie break in the 3rd set but just couldn't keep up the momentum.

We watched it. It was really exciting. I hope you manage to see it * Callistemon*.

They were very well matched. I was so happy for Harmony, what an achievement.

Wow! What a nerve-shredding day of really 1st class tennis - Nadal, and then Serena. At times I thought Nadal wasn't going to get through. Cerundolo gave him a run for his money. He'll be someone to watch next year.

More tennis today. Will I never move off the sofa???

I agree! I think they said 7 British players are through to the next round so won't be leaving the sofa any time soon!

I wanted Tan to win because of that adorable little girl who was supporting her. What an exciting match. It was a blink and you miss it sort of game. So many twists and turns.
