Andy - how far will he get?
Who will be the most annoying presenter(s)?
Any Brits to look out for?
Anyone here going?

And not forgetting Lucca, who loved the game and the Championship🌻.

Lovely match, Emma.

Just read this, and was reminded of this thread
Women’s tennis is losing its only male ally in Andy Murray

Emma's match was impressive. She seemed to have a rhythm in her play, particularly in the second set. She was well and truly 'in the zone'.

I’m rooting for Sinner.

Counting the days till I see the great/greatest Rafa Nadal play.

The Boulter Dart match is incredible.

As is the Djokovic match against Our Man!

Grandmadinosaur Thu 04-Jul-24 16:36:26

It is ixion and now Norrie and Draper about to start.

Is Kyrgious playing this year or just commentating?

He's just commentating. Which is a shame. I enjoy his matches. Quite the showman

I've always been a Novak fan and I thought he was very respectful in his speech after he'd won. He must be in some pain, only 4 weeks since his operation. But still a joy to watch. Just a tad slower I felt.

British guy did a brilliant job

Very sadly, Nadal isn't playing at Wimbledon this year. He had hoped to but injury made it impossible. Such a shame. I've been watching him around the world and he's brilliant.

I’m a big Rafa fan and although things move on
he does leave a huge gap.

DamaskRose Thu 04-Jul-24 18:49:59

I’m a big Rafa fan too and I’m rooting for Alcaraz partly for that reason.

Grandmadinosaur Thu 04-Jul-24 18:55:58

Me too.

Millie22 Thu 04-Jul-24 19:30:45

And me but I really like Yannik Sinner.

Rafa Fans like me. Rafa has agreed to play doubles with Rudd in Norway soon. That should be fun. 👍🎾🎾🥳

Oo excited by that news. I’m also looking forward to seeing him play doubles at the Olympics with Carlos Alcaraz.

NanKate Thu 04-Jul-24 22:26:22

Me too. I will be glued 👍

Oh goodness, I found the Andy Murray interview and tribute by Sue Barker very emotional. Even John McEnroe looked as if he was wiping away a tear.

Anniebach Thu 04-Jul-24 22:54:37

Yes, very emotional

ixion Thu 04-Jul-24 23:04:02

Will we not be seeing him again in the mixed doubles?
Seems curious to hear all this now if he hasn't actually finished yet🤔.

Rekarie Thu 04-Jul-24 23:48:48

Alcaraz is my new hero. I like Novak but I think he's still suffering some pain

Have you watched the documentary about him? I haven’t but DH says he was in tears watching it. I was in tears watching him tonight.

This was probably planned well in advance. So many well-known faces, tennis veterans, were there as well as the wonderful Sue Barker.

His offer to play in the mixed doubles with Emma Radacanu was a very last-minute decision.
She said it took her all of ten seconds to decide 😁
