Thankyou Sparklefizz, didn’t know about the Federer one. I’ve never been his biggest fan but he was a fantastic, and beautiful, tennis player. Could never really understand the blazer and flannels or the cardi.

Oh well. Both played so well. What a match.

I am an unashamed Alcaraz fan and he had me worried today for a whole 4 sets.
Tiafoe, his opponent, played a darned good match. I hope the fierce challenge woke Alcaraz up as he can’t afford to coast in any matches.
The standard of opponents is just so high.

Emma R is playing well against a Greek opponent called Sakkari. I love watching all the matches that I can but sometimes I have to do it through my fingers.

Watched Alcaraz and Tiafoe this afternoon. What a match. I started off hoping the former would win but then was rooting for Tiafoe.

The vacuous commentary in Emma Raducanu’s match is doing my head in.

Come on Sinner you are the new kid on the block. You have humility and good manners, like the one and only Rafa Nadal. Neither of you ask the spectators to clap and cheer for you. 👍

Andy’s been a credit to GB tennis and has done us proud. Emma seems to be back on form and Cam Norris played very well against Jack Draper.

As for Andrew Castle, I do like him but hate his commentary and every tennis fan I know feels the same. He comes out with the most inane comments. He just needs to shut up. Annabelle great and Tim Henman is good too. McEnroe talks too much and I hate the way he says jokervitch when speaking about Novak.

I’m a big Nadal fan and miss him. I’d like Sinner to win.

Oh dear, Andrew Castle. He's been driving me mad for years. I can get very loud and unruly when the tennis is on. Many a time I'd yell, 'shut up, Andrew'.

I learned to control my commenting when my 2 year old daughter began stomping around, muttering 'shut up Andrew' every now and then.

Emma Radacanu has withdrawn from the mixed doubles with Andy Murray tonight, citing a stiff wrist.

She is very sorry to have to do so but has another singles match tomorrow.

That’s a shame but I guess she can’t take any chances.

We're becoming rather annoyed by the BBC coverage of Wimbledon.

Just as a match reaches a critical point, Clare Balding will announce that it will be continued on another channel or even on iPlayer. By the time we've found the match on iPlayer (which is very erratic) the match is sometimes over. If it switches from BBC1 to BBC2 there is sometimes a hiccup in coverage.

Why not use a dedicated channel as well eg the little-watched BBC3?
