This is probably the only 2 weeks where I avidly watch curling! I'm looking forward to watching our skating duo who have a good chance of a medal with their British pop music inspired routines. They have so much ability and personality so good luck to them.

I love every event and will watch as much as I can.
Already seen some of the Curling. Brits beat Sweden.
Also saw some of the doubles skating. Wonderful.

Oh yes.. Love watching everything.

I have just watched the ice skating on BBC IPlayer and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
So beautiful . We have a really talented British pair in Fear and Lewis.

Yes, I'm a big winter sports enthusiast, and Italy is a great location.

No, otherwise engaged today but will enjoy catching up over the weekend.

I like it - it is on at night here. They are all so very skilled. I’ve been watching the skating like ballet on ice.

I’ll watch as much as I can. The curling fascinates me - how can they be so accurate!

Yes!
I watched some of the ice skating earlier and have just watched the opening ceremony, which was very well organised and displayed the very wide range of Italian culture at its best.
Looking forward to the sport 👍

I’ll probably watch the ice dance but otherwise not interested.
As with the summer Olympics I admire the dedication and skill of the participants but find watching very boring.

I agree Sweetpeasue. I love watching the skating.
C'mon Fear & Lewis!! They have been coached in the past by Torvill & Dean which bodes well.

We are armchair Curling experts in this house every 4 years 🤣

I need one of these coats today!

Yes! At last something on the TV that isn't politics, just talented and determined people showing the best side of humanity, or at least trying to!

Just watching the GB v Canada match and wow, didn't know it could be such a brilliant spectator sport!

GrannyGravy13 Sat 07-Feb-26 10:26:18

I enjoy the Winter Olympics, especially the ski events and snowboarding.

Difficult decisions today as the six nations rugby is also on (England v Wales)

Moonwatcher1904 Sat 07-Feb-26 10:34:59

Yes we are watching too. Have watched the skating and are watching GB v Canada curling at the moment.

eazybee Sat 07-Feb-26 10:37:54

No, but I listened briefly to the curling on the Radio, apparently a world first![Wish there was an emoji for giggling]

Oh, I was bumbling about in the kitchen (looking for the cola to go with my vodka, actually!) when the opening ceremony appeared on the telly. Wow, well I was so transfixed by it, that I just couldn't stop watching.
Beautiful, smiling people from all over the world, it really was a unexpected delight.

I love both summer and winter Olympics. My youngest granddaughter and I are currently enjoying the women's ice hockey.

henetha Sat 07-Feb-26 11:44:05

I prefer the winter Olympics to the summer ones. I hope to watch the ice skating, and those amazing youngsters who leap about on skate board things, not sure of the proper name. etc.
Even looking in the tv guide, it's hard to know for sure what time various events are going to be on though.

Yes, watching skiing ⛷️ right now , love it.

rafichagran Sat 07-Feb-26 11:52:52

Yes, I will dip in and out. I am looking forward to the skating as well.

Redcar Sat 07-Feb-26 15:38:16

Yes, watched the skiing this morning, now enjoying the speed skating. I’ll be glued to the tv for most of the next two weeks.

My eldest daughter was born in February 1976, so I watched a lot of skiing and skating when pregnant. I missed John Currie’s gold medal in the skating as I was in labour at the time!

Grandmabatty Sat 07-Feb-26 15:40:40

I'm loving it all

MayBee70 Sat 07-Feb-26 20:05:25

Been watching the snowboarding with my eyes closed. Terrifying. How do they do it?
