This is probably the only 2 weeks where I avidly watch curling! I'm looking forward to watching our skating duo who have a good chance of a medal with their British pop music inspired routines. They have so much ability and personality so good luck to them.

I liked how the Ukrainian team got huge cheers and JD Vance was booed!
I much prefer the winter Olympics to the summer ones.

Just fab. It's so amazing what people can do and so positive compared with a lot on TV. Easy, enjoyable watching.

Been watching the snowboarding with my eyes closed. Terrifying. How do they do it?

I'd be shuffling to the edge on my stomach then shuffling back again!!

Just watched the men’s Big Air! Love it. Really looking forward to the Slope Style next.

Oh, my, the couples dancing...

I find the Winter Olympics very enjoyable.

Well done to Jen and Bruce in the curling, safely through to the semi finals.

The ice skating has just started on BBC 2 .

I want to be young again and ski and snow board !

I think these skiers must be adrenaline addicts. It’s terrifying.

Love watching the Olympics! I've made a contest for our family, giving everyone an event in every discipline. A chocolate coin will be transformed into a medal for the winner.

I love watching downhill skiing, and also it's the only chance we get to see speed skating, biathlon, bobsleigh, etc.

It's on quite early here, so I keep the tv on during the day. I don't really sit to watch everything, but stop to watch when I know we have a competitor.

I wish that I could stay awake to watch the ice skating all the way through .
It's what first attracted me to winter sports .
Wonderful as they are - I still think that Torvil and Dean were magical .

I like ice skating and curling, so have been dipping in and out.

Can anyone explain curling, please?

Preferably in words of one or two syllables!!

I've watched some of the skiing because the scenery is so lovely. I've been watching some of the skating, but I've also looked back at John Curry, and he still looks superb. Shame our dancers didn't finish higher, but I'm sure they are going to be around for a while.

Our figure skaters looked crest fallen after the poor girl slipped and nearly fell.
The Canadians were excellent. I loved the routine they performed and the costumes.

I always enjoy the Olympics, summer and winter. At the moment it is making a welcome change from politics and paedophiles.

Oh those poor ice dancers. The ones in the tartan outfits. They were so good yet lost due to a tiny tiny point. Poor girl.

But it wasn't due to a tiny tiny point. They performed their worst free dance score of the season, and plummeted from fourth place to a hugely disappointing seventh place. The poor girl was interviewed afterwards, and she was distraught at her stumbles.

I love watching the skating, I did quite a lot of it in my younger days. Not Olympic standard!😂
They all look so good that I find it a shame when the judges pick up on such small points. I know it’s the only way to distinguish between who gets the medals, but so demoralising for the competitors.

Bellasnana Thu 12-Feb-26 08:25:04

I didn’t think I’d be watching any of it but have found myself thoroughly enjoying the skating, some of the skiing and the luge which looks absolutely petrifying to me!

I’m with Allira as regards curling, I just don’t get it at all.
