Can anyone recommend some nice black opaque tights plse? Like all things M & S their tights seem to have reduced in quality and I do hate shiny tights - if you have fat legs like me it makes them look worse.sad

I know this is an ancient thread susiecb but Wolford are totally fabulous. I don't wear tights/hold ups now but if you wash gently by hand the thicker ones/opaques will go on for years. I used to wear only Wolfords for work and although I did have Falke "fancy" tights too if you want something plain and matt you should give them a go if you can afford it.

TKMaxx used to get a batch in every so often.

I found SNAG tights and they are my favourite now.

I would also recommend Snag Tights. The thicker opaque tights come in loads of lovely colours and also patterns.

The sizing is quite generous and there are loads of variations in the sizing.

I wore normal 20 denier tights at an event over Christmas. I haven't worn thin tights for years. I ended up putting my finger through them and couldn't wait to get them off.

Anagram

Couldn't see it in the Argos catalogue, maybe they don't stock it any more, but here's a link to Amazon where you should find something suitable.

There is also a product called Airbrush Legs by Sally Hansen which may also be suitable. It is also on Amazon.

The ‘penguin’ effect of tights drooping ever lower at the crotch can be averted by wearing a second pair of knickers over the top. In my late teens this was standard practice with the women and girls I knew.

I like Tesco tummy control opaque tights - they do what they say on the packet 😉.
Not only do they smooth over my apron tummy, but also keep legs warm under trousers during cold weather.

I've repeatedly machine washed mine inside a net lingerie bag and they're still in good condition.

Can't bear tights .Always in trousers or a floor length skirt. Hate being encased in tights that are never comfortable and my legs are not fit for public display !! So I simply cover them up - do brave the swimming pool though and get into the water asap!

This was started in 2011, resurrected yesterday. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the companies recommend are no longer in business.

Tights, shudder😖
I wear black leggings and ankle boots or higher boots instead.
If I want to wear a dress or skirt in Summer I buy longer ones and use fake tan on my legs.
