At the hairdressers last week, we got talking about shampoo. the two hairdressers told us that the two shampoos that knock the stuffing out of hair with prolonged use are Head And Shoulders and ANY Pantene shampoo.
Eeeek! My hair had been looking less than great, so checked my shampoos on returning home, and the mosed used one was Pantene, so it got ditched!
they also said that if you colour your hair never to use Head And Shoulders, it strips out the colour.shock

I've just started using Dr Organics Argan oil shampoo, from Holland and Barrett. It smells lovely and has no nasties. Am happy with results so far. My hair is naturally white/ grey and very fine.

I always use Johnson's baby shampoo. Gentle and effective.

H&S and Pantene are trash. I prefer Dove and recommend it to everyone.

I swim 5 times per week so chlorine (despite a swimcap) is an issue for me. I alternate between Tres A* and Pan* and my hair is washed daily. I ALWAYS use Charles Worthington leave in conditioner, NEVER comb wet hair and NEVER EVER use a hairdryer. On the odd occasion my hair is not washed for a day I spritz on a conditioning oil.

A professional trim (at home by a friend) every 4 weeks is the only other thing.

In the past I used a blue shampoo but it left my hair feeling 'stripped.' I spent many years straightening and drying my hair but now let nature take its course with my natural curls. My hair is now soft and shiny.

I was told about Pantene over a decade ago by my then hairdresser, these days I use a shampoo recommended by my hairdresser by Matrix. My hair is very short so nothing could ever build up before it ends up on the hairdressers floor.
