what to wear at 60 plus?

I am about to turn 60. It feels like a landmark. My 50s sort of came and went without me really noticing but I do feel different now. Not old I hasten to add. Maybe more grown up. Anyway I think perhaps it's time to take stock and revise my style a bit. I've pretty much carried on wearing the things I have always done but suddenly feel a bit mutton dressed as lamb. I'd like to update my look to reflect my age but without going old or frumpy. Where do I start? (Did I mention I hate shopping?!)

I still like nice trousers and tops but am having trouble getting trousers to fit as they all seem to be too long. One of my daughters says its because I am shrinking if only I could shrink all round.

She wouldn't if she is anything like either of my DD
bossy honest!

Years ago we were on a monorail in the States and friend and I were convulsed with giggles because a very rounded older woman strap-hanging opposite us was wearing a very bright floral full-skirted dress similar to that but without the net petticoats, white socks and trainers. To complete the look she had nicely permed hair.
We tried not to let her see our increasingly hysterical laughter.

Granny2 if they are from M&S they have changed the leg length - medium is now too long for me, some older pairs I have are still OK so I don't think it's because I am shrinking.
