Makeup EVERY day???

I am either mad, very vain or a creature of habit.
I do a full make up every day. I just don't feel right without it- it's me!.
It suddenly occurred to me this morning as I was plastering on the slap that I was not going to see anyone until DH comes home tonight. (As some of you may have seen from others posts I am on crutches following a stupid accident so I am housebound.)
I still put the lot on.Really- why?? I do it every day. On the very odd occasions ( Noro virus!) that I didn't,I just felt wrong. I used to walk the dog first thing in morning & went out ( often in dark) without makeup but came straight home, showered & on it went.
The only time I don't is on holiday when it is going to be a day on beach & then I still use mascara & brow pencil & the full load goes on for the evening.
Do many others do this? - I rather hope so or I'm obviously very odd.

pollyperkins I think the initials in bb cream stand for blemish balm. It is to even out the skin tone.

Being the type who wouldn't be seen dead outside the house without full make up comes in very useful sometimes. Every morning my other half gets up and walks down the road to get the paper. He then brings it upstairs, along with a cup of tea and a bowl of cereal while I am still in bed. He has occasionally suggested that I might like to do the 'paper duty' sometimes, but when I explained to him how long it would take for me to wash, brush my teeth, dress, do my hair and put my make up on he decided he'd like the newspaper before 11 a.m !

Not me. I grew up with a mother that took forever to get ready to go to the shops. I felt I spent all my childhood waiting on her. My father was one patient man! She was a lovely lady but I told myself I'd be the type to be ready to step out of the house with just a comb through my hair. I do try to look like a grownup on special occasions. grin

Eyebrows are disappearing fast so eyebrow pencil is a must for me with mascara, blusher and lipstick. I use a light foundation in the winter but during summer I use a gradual tanning moisturiser. Full slap would go on if I were going out in the evening.

I am a woman of two halves: I am perfectly happy to leave the house without a scrap of makeup (popping to the supermarket, going for a cycle ride etc.) although I use a small blob of moisturiser with SFP of 15 every day, regardless.

If I am going into 'town' or meeting anyone, I put the full slap on. For me this consists of foundation; CC cream; blusher; eye shadow; eye liner and mascara. I sometimes add lippy. Looks quite a lot but actually it only takes a few minutes and obviously I need all the help I can get so as not to frighten the horses!

It's really interesting to see how different we are in terms of what is 'normal'. There is no right or wrong, it's whatever suits the individual.

Always put a full face of make up on even though i never leave the house as I work from home - even if I'm just going out in the car to post a letter I have to clean my teeth and put more lippy on - madness!
