Oh, not down the loo! I've recommended it to lots of friends who have all reported good results, no more gum pockets, no more fillings. I don't do it for 20 mins, just a couple, usually while I'm checking emails. I know one friend swishes while she's in the shower. I'm going to have to concentrate, to change the habit of spitting it down the loo!!!! One friend even said someone thought she'd had her teeth whitened.

It's also great for our 'lady bits'. It works as a lube but also for clearing up thrush. Take a dollop of solid coconut oil, mould it into a bullet, freeze for a while then use as a pessary. Use at the first sign of discomfort and it works like magic. Cheap and smells good.

I use it on my dd eczema. Also if she picks up head lice from school, it gets rid instantly. It seems to suffocate them but with no harmful chemicals, plus it leaves her curly hair in beautiful condition.

I used it as a conditioner this weekend. Apply liberally to dry hair before bed. Wash off with shampoo the next morning before washing and conditioning as usual. Put an old pillowcase on your pillow.

I've been doing it and amazed at how clean my mouth feels afterwards. And I swear my teeth are whiter...

Spit it into kitchen paper then put in land fill bin. Or you could fill the cavities of an empty egg box like I do with fat from cooking.

I moisturise face with it at night now. I had an allergic reaction from a hair product and my face was sore and dry so the only moisturiser I could put on it at the time was coconut oil, was so soothing so now that's what I use...

Bought mine form B n M think it was £2.99 organic raw coconut oil (solid) but solidifies very easily...I have been putting it on my face/arms/neck recently.its a bit oily at first but then soaks into the skin, it leaves skin so soft the next day. I use it as a lip balm and It seems to tighten my lips so maybe it works as a firming cream I don't know (don't quote me)

I have been away for 4 days and didnt take my little surplus jar of c oil with me..I certainly noticed the difference with not using it.!

I've tried the it as a mouth wash but having difficulty keeping it there!

Also detracting from the beauty side...I have had a fungal nail infection for some time now (not treated it with anything as yet) but about 3 weeks ago started putting coconut oil on it after reading all about c oil...I must say I am sure it is starting to look better!

I put it on my dogs feet to stop her getting corns [something that sighthounds are prone to]. And make golden paste with it [turmeric, coconut oil and pepper] which I add to my drinks and the dogs food.

Also buy from B and M bikergran, organic, I use it every day on face, legs, arms, face feet love it Never normally cream myself but really love this stuff have used it on athletes foot I just think it's wonderful

Just tried it as a mouthwash. Only managed 10 minutes, though. Turmeric is supposed to keep teeth white [odd, in that it stains everything else yellow ]so, along with taking coconut oil in my golden paste and swishing my mouth out with it my oral health should be in top notch. Also, whippets have problems with their teeth in that they seem to be very prone to plaque. Impossible to brush their teeth [along with claw clipping etc]I'm wondering if having golden paste in her food and also having coconut oil on her paws [which she licks off] will improve her teeth. She's being sedated to have her claws clipped next week [it's that bad; she can't walk on pavements because of her corns so her claws just keep growing, and she won't let me near her with clippers] so I'll ask the vet to look at her teeth.She has a dentastix each day, though, but it will be interesting to see if the coconut oil is helping keep the plaque down.

On a whim when doing my Ocado order I added Nutiva Coconut Oil when looking for a body moisturiser.

I'm just looking at the jar ... it's organic, virgin, cold-pressed and unrefined, suitable for sautéing, baking, and as a replacement for butter

No mention of dogs' corns

I don't know whether to eat it or slather it on my in need of maintenance body!
