Has anybody tried Floris soaps? Are they worth the money? I mean really-fabulous-nice-smelling etc ?

When I was in my early teens, I absolutely adored those Bronnley Lemon shaped soaps that were wrapped individually in paper. I longed to have just one as I thought that they were the epitome of chic, but they were too expensive for me. Instead I used to sniff them whenever I went into a chemist, longingly.
Some years later, I treated myself to one.
What a disappointment. My dream was shattered.
The lemon scent seemed to disappear when the soap was used, and the soap dried and cracked as it dried.
Now my favourite soap of all time, is Dove. I would not use anything else now.
By the way, does anyone remember Astral soap in the 1960's ?
It had the most glorious scent.

Floris soap is my favourite, when I feel l can treat myself! Edwardian Bouquetis the best and they never go soggy with the scent remaining til the last sliver!

Who uses soap these days. We use a liquid soap for hand washing and as we have a shower and no bath we use shower gel. Saves having manky bits of soap In slimy soap dishes anyway.

Obviously the posters on here use soap ....

I was given some hand-made Welsh soap but I haven't started using it yet.

If you buy a good quality soap, it never goes slimy, even in the soap dish. A good bar of soap can be used until the very last sliver and the scent will remain until that sliver is used. Like anything else, you get what you pay for.

For L'Occitane fans there seems to be some L'Occitane Brasil stuff (soap bars/shower oil/hair stuff) popping up in discount stores & online. I assume this is imported stuff that is excess.. anyway some soap bars are on an 'auction site' for £2.29 inc delivery.I can't vouch for aroma though!

I love Floris stuff, especially their room fragrance sprays. Get on their mailing list to get sent the "sale" brochure for bargains which I stock up with for presents.

I got the Occitane, 3 bars -Rose, Lemon Verbena and something else. The Rose is lovely and the lather is like silk. I will go for Floris next time I get some money, then Chanel will be on my xmas hint list smile
I love nice soaps, it really lifts my mood when I'm fed up.

My sister bought me a lavender felted soap 2 years agowhich I put in a drawer with all my scarves in. They still smell wonderful. Will have to try Coco Chanel though as it's my favourite perfume.
