What possible reason could there be for hairs to grow wild on your chin once you pass the menopause?? ??

As an avid people watcher, I can guarantee that i'll see women on their own in a cafe or on the bus, and their hand automatically sets about exploring their face for hairs whilst they're reading or on gransnet.

I asked for advice on getting rid of skin tags but I was not planning on torturing myself! The idea is using nail clipper to cut them off makes me feel ill! And living on my own means there is no one to tie cotton on - also I have so many on my neck and chest that I would look really odd with dozens of dangling strands! I was hoping that there would be some lotions or potions that I could try? Tea tree all seems to be a miracle cure all so I might try that.

My daughter and I have long had a pact that if I am clapped into intensive care she will appear with tweezers to keep the rogue whiskers under control. I've embarked on electrolysis in the meantime as I don't want the poor girl to be overworked.

I used the facial Veet cream on my upper lip. I am fortunate that I have fair hairs but plucking them out was painful.

After I'd used it, and the 'soothing' after cream the pack came with, my inflamed red skin 'moustache' was visible to all for several days and much more noticeable than the hairs! shock It was so sore too!

Yes, I followed the instructions to the letter. confused

Purple poppies, I get this and have it threaded, painful and a bit red for a short while after, but it does the trick!

My theory is they're rudimentary 'beard' hairs so they tend to grow back overnight. Men's faces have so many, they must either shave every day or grow a beard. Thankfully, I only have a couple to deal with, but they keep me in a state of constant vigilance, nonetheless.

It's weird isn't it? I have grown no underarm hair since the menopause and do not have whiskers on my face. All kinds of things that my contemporaries complain about are alien to me. Am I just lucky?
