Yes, we mentioned the C word. But only because we're updating our page of Christmas party dresses and wondered if you could help us? Could you post a link to any particular dresses you have your eye on? Are there particular styles, colours or fabrics you look for? Or stay away from? Any brands that you know will always deliver a winner? Because of the length/quality/price tag/fit? Thanks smile

I meant the velvet Seasalt dress!

sorry juno . really didn't mean to cause offence, just the format and the graphics of this site caused me some confusion. Sorry

Yes, cangran, thinking of buying that one myself. Or preferably several if I should meet a millionaire anytime soon. .They look so comfortable.

I have to wear natural fabrics so am quite limited. It’s been worse since latest Aldara treatment. Within a few minutes of wearing clothing with even a small percentage of man made fibers I look like a pillar box.

No hope! Wasn’t sure if pillar box was the correct wording. Googled it and spent several minutes deciding which pillar box I resembled most! Perhaps I had better stay indoors this Christmas and start searching for my missing brain cells!

I noticed that a lot of women were wearing various jumpsuits on our recent holiday and I did wonder how they managed when they needed to pee.

Since reading the report on swabs taken from the bottom of handbags that have been put on toilet floors I go to extreme lengths to make sure nothing but the soles of my shoes are in contact with said floor. I am usually on the slut side of cleaning but the thought of having other people’s pee and poo on my bag and then putting the bag down somewhere in my own home possibly on a table or armchair, makes me cringe. I certainly wouldn’t want to wear clothing that had touched the floor of a public toilet.

Oh for an edit button! The lack is a major flaw on GN. Apologies if my latest message is incomprehensible. I pressed preview and found it had been posted instead!

We had a black tie dinner last week and I was very pleased with my outfit, with a silk Jacques Vert skirt, a cape style top over a silver cami, with a vintage silver chain mail purse.
EBay and charity shop and cost under £20.
Our local charity shops are pretty great!

I understood your post perfectly Sussexborn - and I agree.

Unfortunately, some public loos don't have hooks on the door and there is nowhere to hang your bag!

Calliston our local Marks and Spencer doesn't have hooks so nowhere to hang your bag.
People then visit the cafeteria and put their bags up onto the tray slide to get at their money.
I have pointed this out but up until the last time there were no hooks

I'm sure our M&S looks have hooks on the doors, must check.

This auto correct is driving me crackers!

I have no idea where the looks came from!
