I was behind someone in a queue today and noticed her fab shoes. I asked where she got them and she said via Am***n and they are called Uin. I just can’t decide which pair to buy. They are pricey though.

Have any of you had this make ?

I bought a leather handbag on line. When I researched my purchase I realised it was coming from China. It arrived and no way had that handbag ever been part of a cow! It was awful. It was a special price - I wonder why - so I couldn’t be bothered to work out how to return it. Within weeks it had started to fall apart. I now have a lovel Osprey, real leather handbag with a beautiful floral lining.

I would run a mile from any “leather” goods from China.
I would rather not upset dog lovers by saying where I suspect most of them originate. ?

I had a look at the shoes on Amazon and noticed some of them have next day delivery for Amazon Prime members. So it looks like not all are shipped from China.
However, I would be dubious about Chinese manufactured shoes as the sizing and quality may not be the best
I have to say, though, that I do like the quirkiness of the shoes - just don't think I'd ever have the nerve to wear them as I'm a bit of an old stick in the mud these days.

Not all stock is held in China. An awful lot is stored here.

I also found that baby shoes described as "leather" were not. You know they type of baby shoes they use for cruising, like bootees, the soft leather ones? Well I ordered those, believing they were leather and they were plastic so went in the bin. I'd never put plastic on a little ones feet. In the end I used a British company and got beautiful leather ones.

Your handbag sounds lovely, Ladyleftfieldlover

This is the handbag which isn’t Chinese or possibly made of d*g. Made in Spain or Portugal.

Pavers shoes do a similar design not quite as colourful but very comfy and half the price.

Is it easy to return if bought from Amazon?
Surely then they don't go to China?

Amazon are brilliant if you have problems returning and no they don't get shipped back east , they end up in Amazon warehouse! Check it out. They take great care ensuring you get a refund for stuff not as it should be or even if returned within allowed 30 day period of acceptance under UK law.

Gabrielle yes, most items are easy and they have a good system but you do have to check if you are responsible for returning items with Amazon.

Three pairs of shoes I bought for my son to try 2 years ago had to be posted back at my expense. Not everything is free or inexpensive. One had to go back to Spain as it turned out which I think would have been more expensive now.

Just suggesting the OP checks on the actual return details. Bizarrely I've not had this with anything but shoes.
