Can't get my favourite products any more

For many years I ordered moisturers and make-up from Yves Rocher - a French firm who operated an online service. Their products are light and suit my skin better than anything else I can find. They weren't cheap, but neither were they silly over the top prices.
They ceased trading in this country, (UK) soon after Brexit in a fit of pique (along with several other French fjrms) but this is not a political post and I don't want to start any spats pro or con Brexit.
I tried "doctor's formula" but its a silly con and you get very little product for your money, although it's the type of product I'm looking for, something lighter than Nivea or Q10. I have very fair, thin skin and a lot of creams just sit on the top of my face and rub off on the pillow.
I cannot find any other company that supplies similar lightweight products.
I'm looking for really good moisturisers that don't drag your skin and are quickly absorbed.
I am 80+, any recommendations?

Boots No. 7 have a good range, I do use other brands like Elemis and Clarins, but tend to come back to No. 7 as a good, practical standby. They have an online skin analysis that might point you in the right direction.

You can buy Yves Rocher online from 3rd party suppliers, but I suspect the delivery charges will be high.

Amazon sell their products. It is not certain they left due to Brexit. They went before it took effect and it may have been other financial restraints according to the website. I don’t think it would be pique but financial implications.

Exdancer, Holland and Barrett do some really nice lightweight moisturisers. Weleda light, and Dr Organic rose otto day cream.

I can go to our local Yves Rocher in France and send to you, if required. I shall put a birthday card in parcel and say it is a present smile - can send from Switzerland which is not affected by Brexit. With pleasure, just postage cost.

Shame, friends just left to go to UK by car- they could have taken your stuff over and sent it from UK (Birmingham area). Too late. We will be driving over about 1 week before Christmas.

Coconut oil at 1.89 a tub is fantastic and also has a mild antibiotic within

Liz Earle products are brilliant, good range for different skin types, very reasonably priced. If you buy on line delivery is often free and products arrive very quickly.

Kali2 that is a most wonderful and kind offer, but I won't take advantage of it although I do appreciate it. What a nice generous person, thank you.

Having once been an advisor / sales consultant for Chanel. this is still my preference.
Fortunately can buy on line.

ExDance, it would be no trouble at all. I go to the street where the Yves Rocher shop is all the time. No bother, honestly.

I personally hate thick creams, and use Clinique's 'Dramatically Different moisturiser' - it's wonderful.

I do too and have done since my 30s love that products and also their moisture surge.

Athenia Sun 03-Oct-21 11:05:46

I too have a fair skin and for over fifteen years have used a very fast absorbing skin gel made from aloe vera.
It’s from Holland and Barrett, and is organic.
Ilike it because it feels pure and my skin has few wrinkles, although I am now 72.
I can also highly recommend their foot cream, containing honey, which also melts into your skin and feels good. I often think that our feet carry us through the day and deserve beauty treatment too!

I'd try the French line Cerave available from Boots.

Have you tried any Aldi or Lidl face creams. They're very inexpensive and cane tops in consumer testing. I used to use clinique but tried them after seeing that they had such good reviews and found them very good. I've stuck with them.

I used to work for Yves Rocher when they first set up in this country around 45 years ago when I was about 22 years old.
I remember when Yves Rocher visited he was like the 'godfather' in the film.... he walked slowly and in slippers... he was very scary but he was very charismatic, but then I was only in my early twenties so probably everyone was scary when I was that age! Thank goodness I'm now a very confident person.... he certainly wouldn't scare me now!

I’ve been using Prai products from M&S. They suit my skin perfectly and are not too expensive. You can buy online too.

Theoddbird Sun 03-Oct-21 11:17:25

Aveeno baby soothing cream is amazing. I have used it since I retired and could no longer afford the more expensive creams I had used before. Aveeno is wonderful. I use it morning and night. I get a lot of commpliments about my skin. Highly recommend it smile

Shelbel Sun 03-Oct-21 11:19:31

There's an yves Rocher shop in Bruges. Maybe treat yourself to a short break there and stock up?

Ilovedragonflies Sun 03-Oct-21 11:21:46

Aveeno (from Boots) is lovely and sinks straight in. My GP recommended it for a small patch of eczema I had on my eyelid, it cleared it pretty much instantly and now I use it as a moisturiser. My skin has never looked better.
