I wear them as well, but I don't kid myself they look nice on

They look nice on me, I can assure you

Somewhere between the two extremes is good. Unfortunately most older people don’t have flawless bodies so clingy isn’t a good look - but shapeless isn’t either. For myself I prefer narrow fitted trousers or jeans, but a looser top - but whichever way round you do it I think you need at least part of your outfit fitted to your body so you don’t look bigger than you are. Show off your best bits is probably the way to go!

I do love baggy dungarees though the most comfortable thing in the world with trainers and a t shirt underneath

It's the overall oversized look that's not going to be flattering on anyone over the age of 60.

I don’t follow trends at all. People wearing those puffer jackets to me looked ridiculous. I saw a woman the other day with a long black puffy sort of coat that reached her ankles and honestly it really looked ridiculous, I wear what I know suits me… which I have to say is mainly jeans sweatshirts T-shirts and jumpers..?

I like the look, I don’t think it necessarily makes you look fat, I’ve always favoured loose fitting clothes, even when I was thin.
I don’t like trainers though, never owned a pair.

To me that will depend on your own shape to start with! Personal preference, I know, but to me, anything tight/revealing is much best suited to the slim.

Sleeves are a particular Thing for me - if anyone wants to display their flabby old bingo-wings arms, good luck to them, but it’s not a look I will ever go for.

I think the looser dresses, such as the ones Lucca has posted are good for the summer when it’s hot, but the loose, layered look is more difficult in, say, rainy weather, unless you top it all with a massive coat. I think the cut of baggy clothing makes all the difference - if it fits well around the bust, then flares out a bit, it’s maybe more flattering than just a ‘sack’ dress. So the first one is more flattering than the second?

I don't mind a bit of a puffed sleeve. Quite like shoulder pads in jackets as well

Yes. Re the ‘over size 16’.
I’m really big now (but I know I still look nice ?) but I would look pretty dreadful in anything that didn’t have an element of ‘droop’.
