The colour PINK for our generation (obviously frivolous

I have always worn a lot of pink as it has always been a colour that suited me. Depending on garment and fashion, I have - and still do - wear every shade of pink from palest pastel pink to fuchsia.

Age appropriate' dressing is not a concept I recognise. I am heading for 80 and shop in all the mainstream clothes shop and it is not unknown for me (78), DDiL (50) and DGD (15) to all be dressed in similar styles.

I never wear navy blue or black, neither colour has ever suited me, though I like grey. But I like to open my wardrobe in the morning and see a feast of colour in front of me. I have always loved autumnal colours in all their glory, they really suit me, and it is just coincidental that this weekend I bought a dress for DD's graduation. It is an abstract leaf pattern in rose pink, cream with soft shades of brown such as taupe/coffee/chocolate , to quote the OP. I bought it in a supermarket in France.

They seem a really nice company. I discovered them through one of their shops (they only have 3) - the one in Mumbles, S Wales, when on holiday.

I love blue, black and navy the best. However, I do like purple and dusky pink. I had my colours done once and was told I should wear green. I HATE green! Also told to wear yellow and brown and gold jewellery. I can't bear any of those colours either and always wear silver jewellery. Can't even stand to use green pegs! Needless to say I didn't take the advice

I like wearing various shades of pink, despite its girly connotations.
Pink goes well with grey and black. I’m avoiding black. Life is grim enough currently (politics/Ukraine, not my personal life) without black frocks. I’ve got two in the wardrobe -they may have to go

Pink is a very positive colour! I prefer vibrant pinks as pale pinks are unflattering to my skin tone.

Pink means different things to different people and can be a "marmite" type of colour as some people love it or hate it!

Baker Miller Pink is an interesting one (#FF91AF) as it calms violent prisoners and has a tranquilising effect even on colour blind people.

If people have a problem with pink, I am always a bit bemused. Personally I love it. Frivolous? Who cares. We only live once.

That’s interesting - just looked it up on Wikipedia.

I'm wearing a bright pink M&S jumper today. I have several in varying shades in my winter drawer. The summer drawer also contains pink tops ready to wear when the weather improves. Pink is perfect with silver hair, as are many shades of purple/lilac.

Maybe it's a good idea to permanently wear Baker Miller Pink (((LOL ))) just to calm everyone!

I wore a bright pink top today as well. The shades I love the most are fuchsia and magenta, to wear. The colour psychology is very positive for those as well.

but I won't buy it because it's sized at 8-16 and I'm not too keen on the unflattering cut either. I wish they would use the same fabric to create a nice top, but I'd like it in 16-18. I find it really hard to buy nice clothes!

My top today was a darker shade of pink than that and I didn't notice any suppression of my appetite.

I will just stick my head over the parapet and say that I hate pink! Having said that I do have a long shocking pink and blue linen skirt that I love and a greyish pink top with black flowers that I wear a lot.
